VITAMINS
I use Optisource chewable vitamins and have since surgery. I
have never heard tha****er washes them out if you drink too
soon after taking or chewing them. I normally take my vitamins
following a meal so because I don't drink anything for at least
an hour after my meals I guess I couldn't answer that question.
I have been told that we absorb the chewable vitamins much
better than the regular ones so you are on the right track with
the chewables. My labs have always been perfect and I am a
little over four years out. My iron and the B12 are the only two
vitamins that are not chewable.

BECKY,
THANKS FOR THE INFO. THE ONLY THING ZORN TOLD ME WAS NOT TO TAKE IRON AND CALCIUM TOGETHER. I THINK HE SEES SO MANY PEOPLE AT FOLLOW-UP HE FORGETS THINGS. HE DOES TELL ME DIFFERENT THINGS AT FOLLOW-UP THAN WHAT HE TOLD ME AT PRE-OP. THAT'S OKAY. HE IS THE BOMB!!! I'M DOWN 60 LBS SINCE SURGERY AND HAVE 20 MORE TO GO. I LOST 30 BEFORE SURGERY SO THE TOTAL IS 90LBS. I'M LOVING IT!!!

You know what is funny, Zorn told me from the beginning to space my vitamins 30 minutes apart and then 15 minutes and to this day (almost 15 months out) I still space them about 5-10 minutes apart! I'm sure it isn't still necessary, but it is habit now. lol And that would actually probably mean I take more water with them then if I just took them all. Now you have me thinking about this! hee hee
Hope all is going well for you so far!! bigg huggs, Becky
