What a great shout out this morning girl. A wonderful recap and I thank you for keeping track of the Cali Crew Mamabear!!!

D and I watched the Olympic opening ceremony as well. We sat there and kept looking at each other in total amazement. What an incredible production, from the facilities they built to the drummers, the LED screen on the stadium floor, the performers, the history recounted in the prodction to the fireworks to the cauldron lighting... simply awesome! But we have to remember the Chinese have an honored 5000 year old culture and it sure did show last night. So many cool and artistic moments but one that comes to mind right now is the footprints in fireworks "walking" from Tiananmen Square to the Birds Nest stadium. That was very symbolic and fun. We recorded the show and will view various scenes again.

It's a nice morning here today and I am suited up for some gardening as soon as I get my butt in gear. Want to get the intense work out of the way early before the afternoon heat sets in. Later on we have some clothes shopping to do for Darrell with the birthday gifts cards he got. Some TV and TIVO time and that should fill up our Saturday hours!

Yes, I saw some of the opening ceremony and It was awesome.  I especially liked the Chinese drummers, they were spectacular.

Janine those pressure headaches are a bit*h and Jeff getting  summer cold - bummer, hope you do not catch that too.

Great news, just talked to my Niece and she is feeling better, well better to where she can breath. She's hoping to go home this afternoon, I hope that's not too soon. She will have a homecare Nurse coming in 2 days a week, to check on her and draw Protime as she will be on Lovanox injection and Coumadin, the Coumadin for 6 months.  Her lungs are clearing out pretty good with the breathing treatments and they will send her home with probably a nebulizer.  So I am feeling good about that, but just praying they aren't sending her home too soon....

I'm hoping to get my port pain under control enough to go to my girl friends party for maybe an hour or so this afternoon, to get out of the house.

I agree with madame_buterfly, have you tried a Netti Pot?  It works wonders.  I fell asleep during the opening ceremonies of the Olymics too.  I'm sure it was due to all our running around and not the costumes.  They were amazing.

Today I'm taking my folks to Fort Bragg for more sightseeing.  There's a lovely garden there my mom would like to see.  We'll have lunch there, look for a new freezer that's more energy efficient than our 1986 model and hit the beach.  Another action packed day! lol

Good morning Janine and Cali Crew!!

Janine, thanx for the great shout out this morning. We'll get the relationship back on track. He and my aunt have no children, so I'm like the daughter they never had. We're going to head out to Fulleton next saturday to see them. And as for the cast, it comes off in 2 days!!! Wooohoooooo!!! lol

We are heading out to my MIL's in Yucaipa in a bit. She fell and fractured her knee so she is in a full leg cast. We need to pick up software and printer for her computer that we are getting ready to sell for her. Matthew is reformatting and doing updates on it as I type.

I hope everyone has a great day. Remember, it's hot and humid out there so sip, sip, sip; drink, drink, drink. And stay hydrated.

Prayer/good thoughts going out to those who need them. Congratulations to those who got dates, lost weight or had WOW moments (Monica P.  ).

I am feeling good, Janine--thanks for asking.  It was great seeing everyone at the LB coffee this morning!  I went to work two days last week, plan on four this coming week and then back to full time.  I already miss having my days free!

Janine--- Thanks for the compliment but I have to be honest and say that Lola is not my birth name.  It is my internet name.  I am a VERY private person and due to my profession as a social worker I try to stay some what untrackable.  Just couldn't take the compliment and not be honest.  Hope you don't think less of me for it.
I was able to go swimming today with my lil man and it was great.
