September 2nd is my date. I have to go in before that to have a filter put in my leg.
I thought i be a little more exited, but i am feeling a little anxious (scared).

Congrats on getting a date!! I bet having to have a filter in your leg won't be fun, and I am sorry to hear that, but think of what a wonderful life you'll be starting on Sept 2!

Congratulations on getting a date so soon. I know how busy Dr. Coates is. I will pray for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.

The filter you are having is this a standard thing that Dr. Coates does?

No, I don't think its standard. I have a history of 2 blood clots back in 2002 when I was being treated for breast cancer. They were in my jugular vein (deep vein thrombosis) and they are putting in the filter as a precaution.

Yeah Gina. It is only natural to be scared. In fact just my opinion if you are not then you might not be ready for surgery.

Hi Gina,
congrats on your date- there are others on this board who had to have the filter- I am sure they will share with you- It is normal to be anxious! Just keep learning all you can about your WL surgery, this Ca group is a great place to be!!
