OT: San Diego School queston
I went to school in San Diego, as I was born and raised there. The high school I attended and received my diploma is no longer there, actually last time I was in the area it is a parking lot....
My question is: I can not find my diploma (just moved and not sure what box it is in) and need a copy to send for my background check for a job. Anyone know where or who I would contact to get a copy or statement from them? now, remember, this is ancient history as I graduated in 1963.
Any and all suggestions and help would be appeciated....

What district was the school in? Like: San Diego, Santee....El Cajon...you get my drift. Maybe you can contact the district office that the school WAS in?

How do you obtain a copy of your high school diploma if your private high school has since closed down? In: Education |
[Edit] |
In all likelihood, the school was required by law to make documentation storage arrangements. Contact the public school district in that town as a starting point, and then the department of education for your state. You may need to track down who the last principal was and ask that person where the records are now kept.
I would go to the San Diego County Office of Education web site and check with them. I am in North County San Diego and worked for Vista Unified School District until just a few months ago. SDCOE oversees all of the county school employees paychecks and such, so would think that they keep those records also. (Somebody has to - it's like a requirement or something.)
Good luck.
