Hi Janine & The Cali Crew!

I went about a week and a half between my last two weigh-ins and I lost five pounds in that time. I am 13 and 1/2 weeks out and have lost a total of 68lbs so far. Not too shabby, huh?

My clothes are huuuuuge and I *really* need some new stuff. I have been procrastinating because I don't wanna spend the money knowing that in a couple months I will need to do it again. I did go to Kohl's last weekend and I found a few things - two tops, a pair of capris, and a pair of pants that I will probably be able to wear in public in about another month or so (right now they are just a bit too tight). They had SO MANY cute tops at Kohl's, but everything has such short sleeves! Why? I don't know about you guys, but I do not like having my arm flab on display! I wear short sleeves year-round, but they are not so short that they expose the flab!

I am going to have to order some uniforms for work soon, too ... I couldn't get uniforms last year because the sizes don't run big enough, so I am wearing sort of a modified version of our uniforms. Talk about embarrassing! But now I've lost enough that I can get regulation uniforms ... The thing is, three shirts and three pair of pants runs about $450 ... !!! ... I know I'll be able to get them altered as I continue to lose, but I don't know how much or how many times they can be altered before they'll be useless and I'll have to order new ones again. My supervisors know why I haven't ordered the uniforms yet and they have been really awesome about looking the other way for now ... They know I want to wait as long as I can and lose as much as I can before I go spend all that money!

I am feeling really good about myself and my progress and I gotta tell ya ..... It's an amazing feeling. My friends tell me I am "melting away," my sister calls me "Skinny *****!" and one of my colleagues from midnights comes out of briefing once in a while and greets me with, "Hi, Skinny!" I am *far* from being "skinny," but it still feels good to hear the comments. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and they are rooting for me to succeed, and for that I consider myself a very lucky girl!

I am off to bed ... Well, I'm off to watch The First 48 ... Maybe I will fall asleep before it's over, who knows?

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

I have decided to boycott my scale for a while and just do measurements. I did weigh on the first and again yesterday just to make sure what i was doing was working.  I'm down 5lbs so far.  I am sending my scale to my moms and won't weigh again until jan 1. Hope to see you at dinner.

Everyone enjoy the day

Monica

Good morning and happy WWW to you and all the Crew Janine!

Lost 2 pounds this week putting me at 197. Really need to get some protein drinks or Boost or Ensure to add some calories to my diet! Thought I had been eating plenty this past week, and I think I did, but lost some anyway. Guess a little bouncing around could just be normal too but I still want to get back to 205.

Today is D's birthday and he will get be getting a nice floral arrangement delivered to him at work today from our kids. Don't know HOW those canines and felines know how to order these things but they do! LOL

Wishing you and all the crew a wonderful Wednesday J....

Give D a hug for me and a Happy Bday wish. Steve, I've come home and found my dog in a chat room, so they are pretty smart and get into lots of stuff when we are away.....

Steve...it's AMAZING how resilent those canines and felines can be
