Made it out of the house for a short walk yesterday. I felt so much better. I am looking forward to seeing Lori C and Julia today to go on a walk

Janine, I know what you mean about being a passenger in a car. I can't relax either. But have fun once you reach your destination.  I watched Wheel of Fortune being filmed years ago and had a blast.

Jean,  I hope you feel better soon.  Summer colds feel the worse.  Take care of yourself

Morning Neen and Cali crew!!
Sorry I have been kind of MIA this week, just been sort of busy and the alien biothches have been kind of nasty for 4 days now, it's kind of annoying!!!
Got bad news yesterday that SSDI turned me down, so now it is back to job hunting. I don't have time to get a lawyer and fight it because we are dying financially!!! I did get reinstated at unemployment for about 3 months, so that will help till I find a job. It just sucks because I wanted to have my hernia repair before starting a job, but who knows how long that will take (it's already been FOREVER) and things are really shaky with my Medi-Cal coverage right now so it may just get worse. UGH!!! I so feel like I'm in between a HUGE rock and a HUGE hard place, but what ya gonna do!!!!
My main job search is going to be Starbucks, CoCo's, and Scripps. Starbucks and CoCo's because you only have to work 20 hours to get medical benefits and I know the manager at CoCo's who said she would hire me for cashier/hostess whenever I'm ready. Just not sure I could handle either of those jobs with my knees and my dizziness issues, but we'll see. And Scripps I know 3 people that work there and the clinic closest to me, where one of my best friends (from all the way back to High School) works, is moving to a newer, bigger building and they are going to be hiring lots of new people. I want a CSR job there, customer service rep. So wish me luck, say some prayers, swing chickens, send good juju, whatever it is you do ~ I will really need all I can get!! I'm scared about going back to work after 2 years of not working, all my post stroke issues, and of course the impending hernia repair!!!

Going to the Scripps night at the Padre game tonight, should be fun and then Mike and I are going to dinner tomorrow night on Rita (gift for my great DD jobs for our GNO's when Vicki was here). That's about it for me this weekend. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Jayden and I are headed to Costco for a few items.  Joe is trying to sleep but it is difficult because his knee hurts so bad.  We have motocross tonight and had some friends show up last night at 10 for the weekend!  Good thing I keep the guest room 100% ready.  I've got a bit of a headache so will take a nap after the costco run.

just a quick type by, I'm just out of the shower (ouchie on my incisions still-go figure) and getting ready to head to the San Diego Zoo. Since I'm not supposed to do any strenous activity and the zoo is quite hilly, we're going to rent one of those motorized wheelchairs for me to toot along in. How fun! I always wanted to try one of those!

Anyway, I hope everyone is happy, healthy and well!

Hey Janine and Crew... HAPPY SATURDAY!

I've been having a very nice, very relaxing Saturday morning just sipping coffee, reading the paper and now messing around on my computer. Great change of pace after the last few weeks!

By now I imagine you are in LA at the Deal or No Deal taping and I hope you are having fun Janine! I'm with you on riding with someone else driving. It can be annoying..... at least. LOL

Good Afternoon Janine and Cali!  As always, Janine you are amazing at your shout outs.  I always love seeing a little shout out to me.  Thank you! You really have a way of making everyone (well at least me) feel special and heard.  I thank you for that.
As for me, I had a rough night, well my son had a rough night and I think we didn't really get good sleep until after 5 am.  The best part.  We than slept until noon.  Yes NOON!  It felt great.  Our weekend is going to be uneventful and I am just enjoying my last two days off.
