Good Saturday Morning Cali

Wow it is going to be a sizzling Saturday out here in the desert for sure today! It popped a 114 here yesterday, but thank God it was dry! We are head for monsoon weather again this week and they are talking thunderstorms too!

Well this morning will bring me to the LA area....Culver City to be precise. My friend is taping for Deal or No Deal and if all goes well she will get the final cut (I have no doubt she will make it!) and I am one of her support people. I do not know if I will make the cut in terms of being the support person, but fun nevertheless!

I am not good about crawling out of the desert and in fact do not believe I have been away from the desert since the last support group meeting I went to at Steve's. Now how bad am I? I tend to be a hermit in some respects living out here and I just suck about leaving sometimes.

I know that I am worried about traveling today as I am not the one who is driving and my hip sucks! It is going to suck worse because of sitting for so long and honest I do have trust issues with others driving. Okay this is my dry run to hopefully make it to Janels dinner!

Sue I am thinking about you and hoping that someone can find out what the heck is wrong with you. It has been way too long since you have been feeling okay. Sending a lot of positive vibes your way!

Jeni...I hope that you are going to have a good vacation. You deserve it girl. Just put all this surgery stuff aside and just have some plain ole fun!

Terry I am glad you made it home for the hospital okay and that surgery went fine. Too bad about the reactions, but hey...you're a LOSER!!!!!

Lola don't fret about having to go back to work...just think of how easier things are going to be as you lose your weight....you are going to springing all over the place with energy!

Steve I sure hope that you get yourself a relaxing weekend!

Nikki....only a few more days and you are going to have some new boobies! How cool is that...I was thinking about the standard tissue removal amount and thinking that each one of my fake boobies are bigger than that....long story but I nearly have double of that in one...scary eh? However I have an enormous rib cage with NO tissue! Like I said long story.

Diane C I am glad to see that you are the new and no need for improved, but bionic woman!!! You go girl...you amaze me for sure!!! I do not know if you will pass the metal detector now! LOL

Lisa B....bet you are glad hubby is home! Good angeling you did with Miss D....I know she really appreciates and values you!

Little Michele...I cannot believe that after all that you got a cracked windshield and your niece missed the flight. UGH!!! I do not know if you know this but you can get windshield places to come to where you live or work to replace them. I have done that before! I have had to have a few windshield replaced because of flying rocks on highway!

Monica W....I sure hope that you are feeling much better and so is Miss Beautiful...did you get any painting down?

Harriet what are studying? I love to hear that people are going to school!

Same for you Miss Kim S....good on your going to nursing school. I am sure you are going to be a fantastic NURSE!!! For me, I use to hate going back to school, but loved it as soon as I got into the swing of things!

Jan I am cracking up that your family does not think the trees are big enough...well they sure will when they see those Redwoods! I use to go to the Russian River all the time....and love the Redwoods. You know when I moved her to the desert, I was totally taken back that my students idea of a big tree was a Palm tree....OMG!!! I found them a video of the big trees!

Kim aka puddin...OMG a run, then the gym and all the biking...where do you find time for it all...and plus dating and going to knitting...what you super woman? Yeah maybe so, but I sure love your dedication to your fitness, your tool and doing things for a good cause!

Linda did you get out of the house yesterday? I am sorry that you were having some tummy issues. It is all part of the learning curve after wls. You will find what works for you and what does not! I really truly does get easier and easier as time passes....just remember you have a baby tummy right now!

Julia...I also hope that you are doing okay right now...you went through quite an ordeal but surely it will be worth it in the long run. Hang in there girl!

ShellsBells did you get any sleep yesterday before you had to go to work? I sure hope so! Nothing worse than trying to work when you are butt ass tired! At least it is the weekend and hopefully you will get some rest!

Good Morning.  Have a great time coming into LA today.  Enjoy the taping that you are going too also.  I hope that you have fun..   At least you will be in the company of someone that you like.  What is on the agenda for me today is that I am going to work.  We are moving our office today across the street to a nicer building.  I am now going to have an office that is not a storeroom but an actual office and it will have a window.  Work will take all weekend for me too. There is furniture to be put back together and all.
Then I need to look for a second job here.  Chuck works for our fine state of Californina and has been placed on minimum wage secondary to the budget issues.  So if the budget does not get resolved it will be no paycheck at the end of August.
So  you all my California friends.  Stay cool stay hydrated and take those vitamins.

I dont know if they take that much out of each one or all together. I didnt even think of asking until I started worrying I would be flat after, lol. Heck Kaiser owes me whatever they can do. If I end up feeling like I need to be bigger then I will look into inplants. Just the thought of them being upright is what has me going. I am a little pissy because I didnt hear from the surgery center yesterday and still dont know what time my surgery is. I am calling first thing Monday!!!
As for the weekend, well when you arent working there really isnt a weekend perse. No real plans, just trying to reduce my stress level so I am the best I can be for Tuesday.
I hope everyone out there has a wonderful weekend!!! Do something fun!! Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!!

Good morning Janine and crew - Here I am - Yes I was not on the computer much yesterday.,. I am fine though - except feel like I am catching a cold - just feel kind of drained.  I was going to go to a free seminar today that Dr Katzen is giving in Garden Grove but I am cancelling cause I want to stay home and take care of myself so I don't get really sick....what with my vegas trip coming up soon.

So yesterday I had my 1 yr appt with Dr Ali - he said I am doing great and that I look great and then he said - while looking at my labs....your cholesterol is - oh better than mine - its 150 - yeah - although I never did have any issues with cholesterol - but it is definitely way down since before surgery.  All the other labs were great.  THey took my one year picture and took a couple of measurements (just waist and hips) and since before surgery I have lost over 30 inches just in those 2 areas....to all you newbies and pre ops - TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS - I didn't do it and I am mad at myself that I didn't. 

Today is just kicking back and fighting this cold - tons of fluids and lots of protein so I can flu**** out of me...maybe some natural vitamin D at the pool too.

Yes, I can truly say that I feel great!      I don't need to have INR checked again until Wednesday.  Walked a few blocks to the pharmacy and back yesterday, and it felt good!   Incisions are healing nicely.  Looking forward to visiting  with Linda and Lori today--all is right with the world!

We are both well thanks.  I didn't get to the painting yet I had a friend come by to meet the baby and see the house and stayed like 5 hours.  The painting is trim work so I am going to carefully tape everything off first so that I can get all of it done at once.  If my child cooperates then I plan to start taping today. I'm up and doing better today.  I have let the puppy out and walked around with her.  She didn't got outside but once in the house piddle on the floor, oh I want to just scream.  Gotta cut a 10 week old some slack.

I was just thinking last night, that by this time next week~ Mike will be home and I do anticipate that I will be a stranger in these here parts (at least until school starts up and Mike gets back to work and things are kind of "normal").  Never fear though, I wont be gone long!  LOL

Well, today is a big day for our girls.  They are both in the base play/musical of a version of Little Mermaid.  It should be really cute.  It is going to be a long day for them, as I have to drop them off at 1130 and they wont be done until close to 7.  I went to make sure that my camcorder was all charged up the other night, only to discover that I left the battery for it in San Diego. grrrrrr!!!  Thankfully, we just got a new digital camera that takes movies, so I think we should be good to go.  I got have it all on tape for everyone that is missing it, right??!?

Okay, coffee is done and I need it something fierce!
