Caifornia Law and Insurance Exclutions

Thank you,
My recent upper GI shows also shows that my pouch was made too large. So I had 2 issues this whole time. I have followed the rules from the start and used to work-out so much that it was upsetting to watch people less committed lose, while I struggled.
I've spend hours researching. stomaphyx is still considered experimental and my insurance will not pay. I do not want to pay out of pocket. I think that the band over bypass is best for ME and my situation. If I had unlimited resource I would CHOOSE the DS....but again, what is in my reach and in my best interest is band over bypass.
Take Care

Well this explains what was going on with my insurance company. One rep kind of hinted at it; then the next would flat out deny it. Back and forth, back and forth, until I thought I'd go mad.

Yes, I do know this, and thank God for this law, because without it I would still be waiting.  I fought Kaiser and WON!  The DMHC overturned their decision that I had to lose weight before surgery, and even though I lost 43 lbs, I still would have been waiting because Kaiser wanted me to be 291 lbs and I was at 312 lbs when I got the surgery.
