better yet, don't think you do dump on sugar so you think you can't dump on it.  Boy have I got a story for you.  I am one of those post ops that can get away with some sugar so I decided to pu**** with dangerous results.  My post should serve as a warning, don't let this happen to you.

I get sleepy if I eat something that I shouldn't.  Nor that I actually seek a sugar high, but sometimes safe foods can contain hidden sugars that you may not be aware of.  That is the reason that I always read the label to find out about the sugar count.

What a scary experience for you and Lillith! Thanks for sharing it though, it IS a good reminder to all of us to be mindful always of what we do!

I am glad everything came out alright in the end (pun intended).

Unfortunately, I don't dump at all. I can eat whatever I want with no ill-effects. I have to really exhibit a lot of self-control to keep from pounding down all the junk I ate pre-op. Once in a while, I will indulge in an ice cream cone but only one scoop and only once in a great while. I also will have a small piece of birthday cake if we are at a party.

I really wanted to dump so that I would be kept away from sweets but that didn't happen. I wonder if I'll be a late-dumper and start dumping later on down the road.

I'm glad you and your daughter are ok, I read your story last night and this morning I went to visit my doctor.

My doc was telling me about a WLS patient of hers who does not eat healthy and starves herself, then when she does eat it's sometimes unhealthy things like sweets or fats.  This woman flipped her car while driving to a fast food place in the middle of the night, she fell asleep at the wheel!!

Thank you for sharing, I'm sure it's helped someone out there reading it.

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
