Morning,
Having a hard time waking up this morning.  Was up later than usual, had to take a pain pill for my back, and my little guy was up early- so here I sit with a killer headache and just not totally with it yet.  LOL  Well, I suppose some would say that I am never really with it....ha ha ha

As soon as I can get awake enough and get moving, I would like to take my oldest out to treat her for the week she did of babysitting our two younger kids each day this week.  I am thinking of some pampering time- because I could use getting my nails done too!

Oh, we saw the Indiana Jones movie on base last night.  All I can say is this:  I am a GLAD that it was free, but will always miss that 2+ hours.... It was far too hard not to compare it to the old, BETTER, ones.
Anyway, thanks to those that left me messages on my 3 year surgiversary.  They all helped to brighten my day, as things are just not the best around here and where Mike is (nothing extremely terrible, if you have followed any of my other posts, just some BS).  Lot of stress going on and decisions being made by people that we have no control over.  I guess that I could just look at the situation this way: Let Go, Let God....right?  Well, it is HARD!


okay, need waaaaaaaaaaaay more coffee and make some phone calls.

Janine--- Flash Floods?  Can you send some of your wet weather down hear to the San Fernando Valley.  It is just plain old hot out here and I can't even take the little man swimming.

I am have returned to life full force.  I don't know if that is a good thing or not, but it is what it is.  My mom took off two weeks to take care of my lil man and I however she is currently suffering from a very bad cold, so I had to take over.  LOL!  A bit fustrating but what can I do?  I feel great and know I can do the little things but I can't lift him or anything more than 10 pounds so I am trying to do my best.  It just kills me because when I get sick I don't get to take off but I guess that is the life of a single mommy.  Okay off my soap box.
No plans for the weekend but to try and stay cool.

Good Saturday Cali Crew,
   first I must apoligize for my absence here at OH, I was finding myself doing too much sitting here on the computer and not moving!!!!  Everyone has been so wonderful to me here since day 1 and I will never forget it.  I have tried to keep in contact with great friends I have made here through e-mail to keep in touch.  Here is an update on my progess, I have lost 90# now, and sometimes have to pinch myself!!! I have went from a 22/24 to a 12 now and I can actually wear a size L shirt!!! If you recall I am considered disabled due to scoliosis and a really bad back- 6 back surgeries in the last years and I am now having trouble with stenosis which has me leaning over and unable to stand up straight.  I am committed to fight the fight and have been swimming and now riding the stationary bike and the treadmill (not for long but something I could never do before!) My camera cord has frayed so I have to get another one so I can download some new pics!
   I want to say it is great to read all of the "oldies" posts and it is great to see all the new faces here.  I am going to try to find some balance and get myself back here where I belong!

Hi, Cali folks.  I never seem to read the board until the evening, so it's after the fact for my Saturday news.  My DH's chorus had an outdoor concert in San Leandro this afternoon, and he got suckered into taking all the sound equipment, since the regular guy is on vacation.  I was going to be in charge of the sound board for the concert, but DH came done with his annual summer cold on Thursday, so he couldn't sing.  But I still got to sit IN THE SUN for the concert.  The San Leandro Library has a Music in the Sun concert series going on, and they do a really nice job.  They put up about 20 10'x10' canopies to shade the majority of the chairs.  The tree shade we were using for the sound board table moved, though, so I got a bit more sun than I planned.  Still, everyone seemed to like the concert!

Tomorrow, I'll be packing up the kitchen and dining room and even a little of the living room.  We will be started the kitchen/dining room remodel on Monday.  We're going to be living on stuff you can make in a microwave and take-out food.  We're hoping it will only take about a month.  I know - famous last words!
