Good Friday Morning Cali

Good morning Janine and Cali Crew! Yes, I am up before 10:00am today. I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. Nothing much on the agenda today. We are having dinner with Jason and his "girlfriend" tonight as they are moving to Missouri on sunday. It was a last minute decision to move. I don't like it, but I have to accept it, I guess. I will miss my son dearly. He's my one and only child. My baby, even at 22 years old...lol They wanted to go to the Old Spaghetti Factory, but I vetoed that one. Too much pasta and not enough protein. I don't know where we're going at this point. This weekend finds me at Comic-Con (the comicbook convention) in San Diego.  I love going to this every year. It's never the same show twice. I am looking forward to seeing the artists and hope to see some celebrities this weekend too. I will be taking LOTS of pictures. I hope the campers have a great weekend. As for everyone else, have a great weekend and remember to sip, sip, sip...drink, drink, drink. Stay hydrated!! =)

Hi,
Feeling a bit funky today.  Have a lot of stressors right now and things arent working out like Mike and I had hoped.  He will be home in about 40 days, and that is fantastic- but, we were trying to get him home for our oldests oral surgery, but his command over there is not approving it. He would only have to be leaving two weeks prior to his original date...but, in true military fashion....they just can't come up with the simple route with things.  Makes me want to pull my hair out.

So, with all that going on- things have been a little tense, havent been eating much, so I guess that is helping with my weight maintaining.  I dont know.  Right now, I just dont care.

Alright, sorry to be a bummer. Have to get ready for another traction today- yesterday's was by far the most painful one that I have had and I am still in pain from it.  Today is the last one that I have authorized from my insurance and then when I am reevaluated by my doctor, we will see what he wants to do.

Have a great day everyone.  I am sure going to try.  One highlight is getting to go see the Indiana Jones movie on base for free tonight.

Good morning Janine and cali - here I am ....everything is great...just been busy.  Yesterday was one long day - I babysat (actually my sister and I both did- like a tag team effort) the great nieces then went directly there to a friends house (actually at the apt building I managed and lived at for 19 years before moving here to my parents house).  We sat around and gossipped and laughed and had a blast rehashing old times.  And lots of great wows from people I haven't seen in a few years....great ego building evening for sure.

Nothing on the agenda for today - just having the cleaning gal coming this afternoon and general relaxing - hmmm, maybe some pool time today.  Its been a busy week for sure and I am ready to just have a day of nothingness.

Everyone have a great Friday and a great weekend.  Oh yeh, tomorrow is LB coffee so I better make a reminder post about that too.

Kinda excited for the weekend.  Will celebrate my daughters 18th bday (and Janine, I actually have a 20 y/o too...thanks for the compliment..I'll take it )

Lisa, will keep you lifted in prayer as you go into surgery on Monday.   Girl, we are saving you a place right here on the bench.

Everyone else....have an awesome weekend....and all the campers - wish I could come...have a blast.

Hooray Smiley Central is installed now that my laptop is rebuilt.   Now  why is my typing like this???

Not much to report for me today, my ankle hurts worse today and has gotten really stiff, so, when my boss gets here I think I might actually see if I can leave and go to the Urgent Care to get it checked out....something is clearly wrong with it.

Other than that...just planning on working and this weekend doing more work around the house.

Good Morning Janine and all of California!

I am totally dragging my butt this morning. I was out a bit late last night having dinner at a friends house.  In the past few weeks I have been reunited with a slew of friends I have not seen since I was teenager.  I am now at a smaller size/weight than I ever was as a teenager....so yes there have been a few wow moments for sure.   The best was running into a guy friend who did a double or triple take when he saw me. I know he did not recognize me!

This weekend I'm heading out to the OC Fair!  I can't wait!!  Last year I went when it opened and it was right before I had surgery.  It was one of my Last Supper type celebrations and I had a fried food extravaganza.   I did not go on a single ride though.....I was way too chubby.   This year, I am getting on every single ride until I get motion sickness!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Saturday morning is also the Long Beach coffee, hope to see lots of you there!!  I'm going on my first DOUBLE-DIGIT run tomorrow morning before coffee.....  I hope I can make it!

GoodMORNING!  Hi Janine thanks so much for your sweet post and for your mention in your daily Post.  That really makes me feel welcome here.  This weekend I have not a clue what we are going to do.  If it stays hot (I am sure it will I live in the desert)  We will probably hang out at the pool all day long and just relax.  Surgery is in a week and I am getting nervous.  I have found a wonderful Angel and that makes me very happy.  Everyone here has been so wecloming I just want to cry.  Who would have though I would find a group accepting of people of large stature, only to support them into becoming "skinny Minnies"  lol Unbelieveable!  Thanks so much everyone.  Can everyone keep Scholarmama in their prayers she is having a bit of a hard time and really needs support.  Thanks so much.

WELL JANINE IF YOU THINK REAL REAL HARD THERE IS ALL READY AN INSTURMENT THAT IS MADE UP FOR THE SKIN BAND... IT'S PART OF THE PERCUSSION FAMILY AND USUALLY CARRIED BY THE MALES IN THE BAND ..      OH SORRY IF ANY ONE IS OFFENDED. IT'S JUST A VERY WEIRD FRIDAY FOR ME.. LOL

 OK WELL I AM GETTING AN HOUR REPRIVE THIS MORNING FROM SARAH SITTING. MOMMY AND DADDY ARE TAKING HER WITH THEM FOR DADDY'S POST OP VISIT TO THE DR.

DADDY HAD A HERNIA REMOVED 7 YEARS AGO AND IT NEVER REALLY HEALED AND THEY FOUND OUT THAT THE DR THAT DID IT SEWED HIM BACK UP RIGHT ON THE HAIR LINE AND IT CAUSED CONSTENT INFECTIONS. SO HE WENT IN WEDENSDAY AND HAD HIS BELLY BUTTON REMOVED AND TODAY THEY ARE TAKING OUT THE DRAIN TUBE. SO I GET TO PLAY IN THE GARDEN ALL BY MYSELF.

SO THIS IS JUST A QUICK HIT AND RUN THIS MORNING. WISHING YOU ALL A FANTASTIC FRIDAY AND AN AWESOME WEEKEND. MAKE IT FUN AND SAFE.

Hey Cali Crew-

Janine- as always thank you for the shout out.  Don't worry the good stuff stays close to my vest. LOL.  I love what you did for the gentleman's cover.  You are a great photographer.  How cool it is to get your name listed (in print) for credit. 

Not much planned for this weekend (but that could change).  I have another date tonight, but I am having some issues.   I was going to do a 5K run in Pasadena tomorrow to support foster children (I was one myself - twice), but I have changed my mind.
I might go to REI for their used gear sale and then then go to LB Coffee.
Sunday, do a 6 mile run and then go to Hollywood's Farmers Market.
Somehow, I have to squeeze in dropping off pants to the cleaner's, doing laundry, washing my hair and going to the store.
