Good Morning Cali Crew,

I had a great weekend.
Friday evening- went to Monica P's 1 year celebration.  Had a blast.
Saturday- I had planned to go to the knit shop and a bike ride in Venice, but when Greg called (the new guy I am seeing), I opted to hang out with him instead.
Sunday- when to Hollywood's Farmers Market for some shea butter.  The lady that usually sells it, had ran out.  (((((((((Disappointed))))))))))))
Went to the knit shop, then went to Venice beach, walked from there to Santa Monica.  Bought some sport jelly beans at REI.,went home.

J - Glad you had a nice birthday weekend. Thanks for the compliment. I felt good in that dress. It doesn't quite show off the curves but it is beautiful. Hubby and I had a great time at the wedding.

today is definately back to work Monday. Busy, busy, busy.

Good Morning Cali!
Things are going great!  I am feeling wonderful and at times it seems so surreal that the day actually has come and gone.  I was able to get in about 70 grams of protien yesterday and 5 1/2 glasses of water.  I am still trying to figure out how to get my vitamins in at the right time to avoid the interactions.  I will figure it out. My ability to move around and go is getting better with each day. 
I am still very bloated and can we say WOW regarding the gas.  I have named the noises in my stomach KING KONG.  WOW!

Good Morning all.  Still feeling pretty good since surgery Thursday. My crazy body decided to run a fever late last night, it was 99.5. At least it never got any higher and is gone today, for good I hope.

Janine you are amazing to remember all. Glad to hear your birthday was nice and the dessert sky sung to you as well. My birthday is in August and a few times we get that weird tropical rain for 5 minutes or so..strange.

Ok Jeni, you should have warned you lost dog story was not for people who just had surgery. I was laughing so hard my daughter made me tell her what it was..oww my poor stomach.. I liked it though..

Kim what knit store did you go to. I also knit and love to go to new places all the time to check them out..

Good morning!  I've been away from the computer- I went to the islands with my husband on our sailboat for 4 days.  He has been wanting me to go with him for over 10 years, so I'm thinking I earned major brownie points this weekend!  The trip out there and back was long (5 hours each way), but once we were there it was beautiful!

Happy Birthday to Janine and Sue Bee!  I'm a cancer, too!  We rule! 

Janine, I am so happy that you had a great birthday yesterday.

Couples date night at church was a lot of fun. We had a bbq and board games and lost of fellowship with other members. And we did a couple's devotion in Proverbs .

I get the cast off 3 weeks from today, then they'll get me walking again. The ankle is healing really well. They are really surprised about that, because of the way it broke. It broke in two places at the very tip of the tibia where it meets the foot, which is why I can put any weight on it. They'll probably put a removable walking boot on me for about 4 weeks, just to keep it stable. But I'll be able to drive again. Wooohoooooo!!! lol

Yesterday turned out to be a very sad day.  A young lady (19-years old) who has spent countless hours in my home over the years was killed in a car accident at 1 am Sunday morning.  She was a friend to both my boys, but especially close to my oldest son (a girlfriend for a short period even).  I had to tell him when I went to visit him in Rehab last night.  Maybe I was wrong, but I knew when he got out he would hear about it and I felt it was better he found out while in a controlled environment.  He was devastated.

Yes, at this time, the police are saying alcohol and marijuana were possibly involved.  She was driving and the only one in the car.  While I agree that getting behind the wheel while impaired is a choice someone makes and the consequences are theirs, I'm still so deeply saddened to have lost this girl, for her family and for all her friends whi*****ludes my sons.

Sorry to bring such sad news here.  Just needed a place to put it all out there.

I'm so sorry you're going through more troubles.  Sometimes, when it rains, it pours, but perhaps that is so we will appreciate the rainbows when they come . . . and they will come again for you--soon, I hope!
