Soreness in the side

I'm looking for some reassurance that everything is ok. I have had no problems or soreness untill yesterday. Yesterday, my left side just under my rib was tender and when touched was sore. (It's right at the incision site) Today I woke up just as tender and sore. It hurts more after I eat. I am 6 1/2 months out everything should be healed by now. It uncomfortable but not painful.
Should I drink some green tea to sooth it? I don't think its anything major - any suggestions on what it could be?

I'm not as far out as you are, but I get that every now and then after I eat. One of my "non-op" friends pointed out to me that there are intestines there now that weren't there before, and maybe it gets tender after I eat because I am not used to them being there, and they aren't used to being there.

Did that make sense? I don't know if it's right or not, but it made sense to me?

I hope you feel better soon!

Call the doc.

Hi Bekki,

It does not sound right at all. May even be Galbladder?? I would go ahead and drink some tea (green or peppermint) for right now, but DEFINATELY call the Doc. If not today then PLEASE call Monday. Of course, if it gets worse, please don't wait. They all have "on call" for a reason. Listen to your body and don't hesitate to question anything that doesn't feel right.
Please keep up posted.

Gallbladder is on the right side near the liver, so left side pain would be something else unless it is radiating.  So the best thing, is call the doc like you said.  Don't mess around with any pains and soreness.  Better to make sure it's nothing, that ignore it and it be something.

Keep in touch.
