Support Group Meeting - Chino
Hi guys,
I just wanted to send out a reminder that there will be a support group meeting this Thursday at 6pm at Tony's restaurant. ALL are welcome to attend!!!
Sorry, I haven't been posting much. Things have been quite hectic, but all should be calmer after this week. I was sent back to the classroom because of budget cuts (which is GREAT - not a bad thing), but they wanted to send me back to the valley (following 'contract'). I currently live in CHino HIlls which is about 35 miles East of LA and San Fernando Valley is about 35 miles west of LA. I will be driving my non working hours!!! So... I started sending out resumes, and found that no one is really hiring elementary school teachers so I looked for out of classroom positions. I have been fortunate because I have been picked up by another district doing what I was doing before. I won't get paid until the end of August, but at least now I don;t have to worry about not having a job. Phewww!!!!
I have also been teaching a creative writing class and we will be 'publishing' our book this week - so I have been doing LOTS of editing and getting things ready.
I will try to send out one more reminder on Wednesday - if that's ok.
Also... for Chino Hills gang and neighbors - my DH and I have been walking every Saturday and Sunday down Grand Ave (from Chino Hills Pkwy) to Grand and Peyton (to my eternal sin- Starbucks on Grand and Peyton). We normally begin around 7am. Anyway who would like a walking buddy - COME join us. We can stop and get a cup of java or just turn around and walk back - there's a walk way up thaat little hill.
Feel free to PM me. We will be going again tomorrow. This is about two miles each way.
Trying to get ready for San Francisco run. It's in October. This is my first because I really do not like exercise, but after 6 years out and old habits returning - I need to go back to basics (which I've been trying).
I also noticed Starbucks is having a run August 31. Anyway going to do that one? It's 10K.

Yes, we can eat there - food is pretty good and reasonable - also allows us to order child's menu. LOL
Meetings are usually about an hour or so...
BTW... Have you been going to the concerts on Wednesday?

We've been going every week to expose my Rap listening son to other genres. This Wednesday is Oldies night. We'll definitely be there for that one. I can't find the rest of the list because I had originally only written the ones I would be interested in listening to, but then we just decided it's a nnice community feel.
