Richmond Kaiser - post op meetings
I have been unsuccessful at getting anyone from Kaiser Richmond to call me back on meeting dates and times for post op patients. I would appreciate anyone who knows the meeting dates to let me know. I am now 7 months post op and I would love to share my success and see how everyone else is doing. I have lost 120 pounds and I feel FABULOUS!!! in fact I am now only 26 days away from running my first 5k - what a wonderful way to celebrate this new me!!!!
Thank you....Susan

Hi! I live in Vacaville. I actually go to the support meetings here at Vacaville Kaiser on the first WEd of each month. They are really good and the group consists of both pre and post op'ers...so you can help others out by sharing your experiences...as well as learn from those who've been in this for a long time....sorry, have no info about the Richmond facility though (but Vacaville is closer than Richmond).
Where are you doing ur first 5K? I"m doing a program now in prep for my first 5K in Sept.
Good LUck.

Hello... Thank you for the information. I would love to come to one of the meetings. What time on Wednesdays?
I'm doing the American Canyon run on August 9th. It starts at 8:00 with the run starting at 9:00am. I have been running on my treadmill for 3 months now getting ready. It's a flat course with one BIG hill then its flat to the finish line so I've been doing some fast high incline walking along with low incline running. I actually went yesterday and picked out an outfit to run in....you have to practice running in the new clothes to make sure they work with you. Where is your 5k in Sept and when. I may just do that one also.
Good to hear from you. Let's keep in touch. I hope to see you at a meeting.
