Check out my profile, I have several helpful articles including pouch rules.
Yes, I am a believer in water loading, especially as I am getting further out and the choices become more difficult. Conceptually, it makes tons of sense to me as well. I am a lightweight, but have been pretty successful so far and hope to continue my success.
The rest of the rules follow what my doctor told me, so that helped cement their importance. Hope this helps!

Yes, most of the "Rules" align well with what I have read elsewhere, except for the waterloading. Some of what I've read implies that this technique is particularly useful for those whose weight loss stalls before they reach their goal, and those who start regaining their weight.
Most of what I've read stipulates no drinking for 30 minutes before or after meals . . . I think that's going to be very hard for me, but everyone says I'll get used to it. It's almost impossible to imagine waiting 90 minutes after a meal before drinking, as the "Rules" suggest!
