my new favorite protein drink
Just wanted to pass on my latest discovery.....
I found these at the Vitamin Shoppe yesterday. I had never seen them before, so this might be old news to you...
I bought one and sampled it in the store. I loved it so much I bought an entire flat to bring home. About $30 for a case
Protein Plus RTD 51 - High Protein Ready-To-Drink Shake
(1) 15 ounce can contains:
250 calories
2 grams fat
9 grams carbs (3 grams from sugar)
51 grams of protein!!
I tried the chocolate and found the taste a little bland. I took a chance on the Cookies & Cream flavor and bought a case. It tastes really good. No 'gritty' texture, very smooth with a subtle sweetness. Yums!

Whey protein isolates are easiest to absorb, then whey protein. This is constantly stressed at my support group meetings. I did some googling, and there are many sites that clearly state that the whey protein is the best do to many factors, primarily it's ease of absorption. the notes about whey protein are buried in the middle of many rny descriptive sites, in the diet area. I know!!! I had mine for breakfast and I was still full at lunch time. I ate the salmon out of the sushi roll I bought and still left three pieces behind. Did you like the taste?
