Silverwood campground

So I was bored this weekend and had to entertain a friend . . . so we took a drive to Silverwood Lake where we are camping less than 2 weeks . . . to see my site and what I need to bring . . .

Unfortunately - someone had a car accident with major injuries just above the campground, and they wouldn't let us drive down to the campsite - only to the day use area on the other side of the lake . . . so it will still be a surprise.

The one thing I did notice was the WIND . . . I'm bringing the stakes for my tents :D

Wish Ida known I might have come up too.  The wind last weekend was indeed spectacular due to the thunderstorms off and on all weekend .  We can expect winds a couple weeks from now but they usually dont get really too bad.  And the count down is on!!!

It was a "spur of the moment" thing . . . I do that a LOT . . . so no forward planning . . . we were only there long enough to eat our lunch . . . and then off again.  What time are you planning on getting to the campground on the 25th?

 

I believe "check in time is noon"  I am going to be up there Thursday just cause this is my VACAAAAAATION so I will be there an extra day.  So I will be there when you arrive and will be on the look out for ya!

I wish I lived down south so I could go camping with all of you. But since I live close to Sacramento it is way too far to go. Have lots and lots of fun. Sue

Hi.  I"m new to the local board...but have been noticing  that southern cali does ALOT  of activity.  Does that happen here in Northern Cal? I too live near Sac and would love to participate in some of this sort of thing and hang out with other OH'ers and their friends/family.

Hello Harriet, As far as I know I have not seen anything yet. I bet there are other people that are close to you on here that probably would love to get together. I would once in a while it sounds like alot of fun, I just can't all the time because of finances and the price of gas. Maybe if we start a message stating that we would like to have get togethers people in the area might reply. I do not think it would hurt.

I actually live about an hour from sacramento in a small town called Jackson, I used to live in Roseville but my DH wanted to move here.
