Good Monday Morning

Well, it looks like our Janine got some sleep last night so I thought that I would start the day off.

Wake up Californina.  It is still going to be a hot one today.  Probably still sticky here too.  I am so not good at this thing but either way good morning.  How was everyone's weekend.  Mine was pretty good.  Saturday, was good my Sunday was really pretty long day. I took my daughter shopping for a few items of clothes.  She has Senior Pictures today so the money needs will be increasing here rapidly.  My friend and I told her to enjoy her Sr.  year.

Remember, please keep Steve, his brother Bob and the rest of his family in your thoughts and prayers.  I know that this is very difficult for my dear friend so keep a special place for them today.

Ok, kids it is important to stay hydrated.  If you become dehydrated you are at an increase risk for problems.

Good Morning Liz and Calif Friends!

I just wanted to wish everyone a great day!  The weekend was good, I had my biopsy done on Friday and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be!  I'm my own worst enemy sometimes!

Steve, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  I hope Bob is as comfortable as can be.

Happy Monday Everyone

My weekend was pretty dern busy - spent the time with my BFF and about all we did was shop.  But thats a good thing right - all that walking?  Anyway, I bought a bunch of flowers to plant in pots for my little patio area out front and have already planted them - now lets just hope I don't Kill them.

I want to tell Steve - I am so sorry for what you are going through and praying that well and that Bob is comfortable.  Please know that you and your entire family are in my prayers constantly -

Today I am just waiting for my painter/patcher guy to come and finish the patch work in the ceiling (from the ceiling fan installation) then if he gets here in time I am off to Kayak with the LB gang - but if I don't get to kayak I will meet them for lunch.

Everyone have a great week - and Janine - WOO HOO for you for sleeping in some......

 

Morning Miss Lizzy and the Cali Crew!

Yep you are right Liz....I slept...OMG I was so friggin tired. Yesterday I went to the Hotel Zoso here in Palm Springs for my friends final audtion for Deal or No Deal. After being there for several hours, the producer calls a bunch of them in and says....our cameras malfunctioned and you are all going to have to come to LA in a couple of weeks. OMG!!! I am going to have to go too because we were photographed as my friends support people. YIKES!!!! She had better spread the wealth!

So after all of that....I had her and her husband over for dinner along with my nail guy and his partner, plus Ava and her parents....we had a great time....Jeff is the bestest (Iknow not a word for you English teachers) bbq'er in the whole wide world!!! YUM!!! And a first....I bought all this junk for everyone to make ice cream sundaes!! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwww but they enjoyed it!

Anywho....off to another week of I do not know what....what I do know is that I am sending super duper PRAYERS to Steve, Bob and the entire family. I am going to check up on Miss Kim and see how miss BarbiePamelaJ-Lo is doing...and other than that....kick it!!!

Continued thoughts and prayers to Steve, Bob and family! Also thinking about our new losers and hoping they are recovering well.

I am sooo greatful it doesn't get that hot here on the coast! Sometimes I wi**** was a little warmer but I do not envy you desert folks at all. I do have to remember it is still important to drink tha****er.

Yesterday, Sammi and I went for breakfast then to the grocery store. Later in the day, we took her to Grandma and Grandpa for a sleep over. Sam and I enjoyed a nice quiet evening together.

Well, it's going to be a typically busy Monday so I better get it in gear.

We had a productive weekend getting the house together for our family flying in starting thursday. Today we will have lunch with my co teacher, her birthday was the 10th, and then more working on the house.

It was a tough weekend for me.  I was up down and all over the place emotionally.  My surgery is scheduled for 8/1/08.  I am wondering if I am doing the right thing.  I am really starting to mourn my best freind "FOOD"  She has been around a long time.  I am starting to worry about every little thing.  What if this surgery does not work for me.  What am I going to look like when I do loose the weight? Will I gain it back? Will I have a ton of saggy skin and look repulsive.  What if game I think is what I am playing.  I go to my first support group tonight, My doctor also happens to be the speaker there, so I am hoping he will help me with some of these fears I am having.  I am wondering did any of you feel like this 3 weeks pre-op?  I will keep steve and his brother and family in my prayers also.  Thanks for listening.

You will be able to eat again, don't worry.  If you follow your dr's protocol, you will not gain your weight back.  Don't worry about the sagging skin and what you will look like.  You will be just fine.  You need to read everything about wls surgery that you can get your hands on.   When you are knowledgable , you don't have to be fearful.  Go to the library or the bookstore and find some books on wls.  Read people's profiles.  Soak up as much information as you can get ahold of.

Knowledge is power.  Good luck.

Just a type by for me this morning as I am headed out the door. I am so nervous, today is my first day on a 3 day working interview and I really want this job!

Steve, if you read the posts today, know that my thoughts are with you and your family, we went through a similar situation with Chris's grandmother and it is certainly not easy. *hugs*

Anyhow, I hope everyone has a great day, don't let the Mondays get you down!
