Going to make a GNC run, need vitamin rec's please!

After reading posts about the hair thing, I thought I best get on it NOW, since I'm under 2 months away now till my surgery.

I'm going to get the biotin 5000 and wanted to see what else I may need to get started on.  I do NOT do well on vitamins, they make me ill or I gag on them but I know I need to get on a regimen.

At this point in the game I don't take anything.  I do have the one-a-day for women with iron that I take occasionally since they are small pills.  But I can't take the GNC womens multi, they are just too big.

Any suggestions are welcome.   :)

I HATE vitamins! They don't usually agree with me either. My savior - Gummy Vitamins from Costco. I did also do Flinstones for a while but I really prefer the gummys. Sublingual B12 in cherry flavor from Wal-Mart. Having a hard time finding a Calicium Citrate I like but I keep looking.

Good luck!

Hi crysti!

I use Viactiv Calcium chews (they are not the "right" kind of calcium, but they work for me, they are chewable, they are tasty, and my calcium levels are fine, three years out); Trader Joe's Chewable C; Trader Joe's B12 sublingual; Centrum (senior) chewables.

Occasionally, I take Fish Oil (for joints and heart health) and Lutein (eye health).

This routine works well for me, and it's mostly chewables!

Oh, and I credit not losing my hair to taking Biotin. Like you, I started taking it a month or so pre-op, and continued for the first year. That one wasn't chewable, but you can find some shapes/substances that are kind of slicker and go down easier that powdery ones.

Thanks Lori!

Between the Costco gummies and what you said was at Trader Joes, I may not go to GNC then... they're pricey anyways!

Where did you get your biotin?

Thanks!!
