Some nice wow moments and new shorter hair!

So I'd mentioned on here about a month ago that I had gone shopping for a summer'y type dress to wear to my nephew's wedding in the middle of August at high noon outside in East County, and the San Diego people know the heat I'm talking about....lol  So, anyhow, those "voices" in my head were telling me not to try on anything, nothing was going to look different, blah blah blah.  So, long story short, the voices won, I came here, posted about it and you guys all made me feel good that even at goal and beyond you still hear the voices in your own heads...and for that I love you all.  Anyhoozy, my honey and I went shopping for a dress again and a swim suit!!   I found a tankini at Target, it's ok, but I don't even care...lol  I'm just going to make use of the pool at the new apts and  on the voice in my head.  So, then we were at Macys and I tried a couple of dresses on, I really was looking for something with more of an empire waist to detract from my birthing hips and bring attention to the girls who still look ok!    My huband found a husband chair to sit in and amused himself by playing games on his cell phone while I perused the dresses.  I wasn't even sure what size to look for, but as I held dresses up to me, I decided between the 20's and 22s.  The 22's were too big once I tried them on!  That was pretty cool. I didn't end up getting any dresses, but I have some pretty good ideas now. At my heaviest, 385, I had to wear a 30/32, so this was truly a very cool wow moment.  xo  Kim  Oh, and I got a new shorter h/c, much easier to take care of.  My avatar may end up with it..lol

Oh, and be careful, the middle of August is still a month away. Don't buy that dress too soon or it will be toooooo big by the wedding!

Oh Lori, that's crazy talk, if I wore the tankini to the wedding, I'd take ALL the attention away from the bride...we can't have that!    I don't know if they still do it or not, but "back in the day" the Christian Youth Theatre used to put on plays up there, there is a lovely amphitheatre right at the top of Mt Helix.  Thankfully, we moved back to the coast where it's much much cooler!  Whew!  Thanks for the nice comments, and I think this will be a good h/c for when I fall in the water kayaking!  LOLOL  xo  cya soon!  Kim

Isn't that the best? When I'm having a down day, I'll go to Target or Ross and pick up a size I KNOW is too big.. heheheheh. Sometimes, with the way the right sizes are cut, THEY are even too big. Oh what a boost THAT is!!
