Anyone in the Hesperia Area

Hi I'm Rhonda and I am trying to find a local buddy.  Maybe someone to walk with (I have a jogging track in my backyard).  Someone who's surgery is fairly close to mine 8/1/08.  If you are intersted please let me know.  We are also finishing up the gym in our garage so if you are interested in working out when I return from my surgery that would be great also.  Hoping to hear from someone soon.   Rhonda

Oh, and I just love the sound of "Hesperia Area"...LOL .... maybe it should be anyone live in the "Hesparea"... hee hee... just make it one word...

Dang, I am with Lori - I sure wish I lived in your area - if I did you would have a work out buddy for sure.  Best of luck as yhou begin your journey of a life time.  You are gonna do great and we will be keeping your seat warm on the losers bench.

Look up www.crownsurgery.com which is the surgeon group that did my RNY. My surgeon, Dr. David Suh, puts on 4 support groups each month. I've been to one of his groups that meets in Hesperia.  Check their site, probably under bariatric surgery, then support groups, to find a location and when their group meets. Most people that attend that meeting are local and you should be able to find someone there.  The Hesperia group is near 40 miles from me, and I already travel to 3 groups per month. It's a smaller group, but you should be able to find someone to be a "buddy" with. DAVE

Thanks everyone for the wonderful support!  If you are ever in Hysterical Hesperia, please join me for a work-out.  Dave that support group is only 9 miles from my home!  I am going to the next one they have!  I just can't wait.  The reason I have a gym and a jogging track is that I home-school my children.  I have 9 of them, 6 at home.  I make sure that my children do P.E. daily.  They just love it.  Mind you I am the only "fatty" in the family.  All my kids are thin.  They enjoy exersizing of any kind.  Go figure!  lol. Well I guess now I will get to enjoy not only the gym and the jogging tract, but the company of my children.  Thanks everyone!  Rhonda

I knew there was one in the locale you wanted, and 9 miles away "out in the boonies" isn't that far. I think it's at the Country Suites Inn, if I remember right. I was there one time only. Glad I could help. DAVE

I am moving to Hesperia at the end of this month as I just accepted a contract with Victor Elementary school district.  We will be living in the Oak Hills area. 

I am farther out surgery wise (7-28-04) and I have just had my first round of plastic surgery but if you need someone to talk to along your journey... I'll be here.
