Happy TGIF Cali

OMG are you all glad that it is Friday or what? I know I am not among the working these days, but I feel like it was a super long week!

How about that weather yesterday gang? Last night...okay well a few hours ago...it was raining big plobs!!! The lightening was incrediable and the sound of thunder was nothing short of amazing! Maggie was out barking at the thunder....I got out of bed when the rain started coming down....wow a true monsoon was right here in my backyard! I am sure the people up in Big Bear really got a good show...even said on the news that there was a tornado watch up there too!! YIKES!!!

Plus it got me thinking again for all those poor fire fighters who are still battling the 320 fires that are still burning....OMG talk about HERO'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I sure hope that Bush gives the fire fighters that are needed to help our HERO's out there trying to stamp out the fires in our beautiful state that Arnie has asked for.

So that brings me to ask you Sue...have you heard anything from your dad. I know you said he lived in the Paradise area.....and on the news they said that whole place is under evacuation.

Prayers to all of them people who are affected by the fires.

Steve thanks so much to take the time to tell us about the updated progress with Bob too! I am so glad your brother is a fighter and is not willing to give up. It is that spirit and the power of the man upstairs who will bring your brother through. I/we continue to keep all of you in our prayers.

Jean trust me that little weird stage you say about your niece....well let me tell you...never met a child yet who likes being told NO. The whinning part would get on my last nerve for sure...and the other one chiding them. Heck even with my students when they whine at me, I just tell them talk in a normal voice and then I will talk with them....I do not do whinning at all! Oh and you know getting ceiling fans really super helps with the hot weather more than you think and it really helps circulate the cool air and you will realize that hey my air conditioner is not kicking on as much! Jean is being GREEN   

Vicki I sure hope that you get to feeling better...sure sucks that you re sick on your vacation. Have lots of fun tomorrow with all the people in SD and dance and party the night away for sure!

Jodi for getting pictures up close it helps that you have a macro setting on your camera. Most of the digitals do have them and it is usually a symbol on your settings that has a little flower on it. I am sure your granddaughter does love going out here smelling and playing in the flowers too.... I remember doing that at my grandma's house too!

Catt glad you got a new laptop...nothing better than having a computer that let me see...that works? LOL I am sending mine back to HP for repair before I throw this piece of poop called a computer through the window!!!!

Kim aka Madame Butterfly left me a message yesterday that she was coming home!  I am sure anxious to see her. She has done quiet remarkable to say the least. I am just sorry that I missed her call!

Scholarmama aka Lori is also home from her 1st round of PS....woohoo Lori...and as far as not seeing the numbers on the scale...you won't not only because of the swelling and water weight of it all...but Dr. Katzen explained to me that even so they take X amount of pounds of skin off it does not and will not reflect that same amount of the scale when you weigh because it all has something to do phsyological. I had 24 lbs of skin and tissue removed my 1st round and in the long run reflected about 10 pounds. Katzen said that the real reason you lose pounds after PS is because you are able to be more mobile when you do not have all the skin to impede you. Good luck on your healing for sure!

Lori W...sorry but you made me laugh when you said you could eat an elephant!!!! I know it is hard being on a pre-op liquid diet, but it is for your own good! For the dry mouth...I would just chew some gum...that helps!

Jan is a loser too!!! How cool is that?  So many people are having surgery this month...what a great month!!!

Jen again...I sure hope and pray that everything goes smooth for you today.....please let us know how you are as soon as feel up to it! I will PM my number if you feel like talking! And sleep Jen? What is that????  

Hey JanetB Skinny....just wanted to let you know that I did sign up for BAM. What a great thing!! I do not ride with groups or anything so this was news to me! I wi**** was riding weather here in the desert...no such luck. When I lived in the bay area...I was hard pressed to get off my bike! zoom zoom zoom! 

LULU...thank you for the birthday card I got in the mail yesterday..that was way cool of you to think of me too! Now don't you fall asleep in the meetings today...they might take a snore and a snort as some sort of vote or something! 

Okay off to hopefully some more sleep kids....today is a new day and it is FRIDAY....so lets hear the plans for the weekend!!!!!

Drink tha****er and then drink some more...it is still going to be a hot and humid day throughout our state!

Good Morning Janine and Calif.....

Yesterday meeting was not as bad as I thought it would, but it still made for a long day. I hope todays meeting is not as long.

Janine, I read your post from yesterday. I guess all I can say, is now you know how I felt after my birthday. Only 3 people wished me a happy birthday. I didn't see the post until today, because I was not feeling all that great after the meeting and was in bed by 6 and woke this morning at 4:30. (plus I only read the boards in the morning) But I understand how you feel like you put yourself out there every day, and are truly there for everyone. Some return would be nice.

I am glad you got your card so fast. I love sending cards when the person is not thinking about getting one. I think it makes them feel loved. But I could be wrong.

OK time to jump in the shower.
