Sorry, I know this is off topic, not sure if there is another place I should post this, if so please redirect!! Can anyone recommend a GREAT automatic cat box?  We now have 3 cats and it's hard to keep up with their litter demands, lol  We have the big boy peeing now in the bathroom and we don't want this to continue.  It's hard for me to change the 2 boxes by myself b/c of my back so I have to have the man help me when I can. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!  :)

I have the Litter Maid one. I got it at Target on sale a while ago, and I like it. I  had an earlier version about 3 years ago and liked that one better, but the newer version is fine. It's LOUD, but it works. You'll have to attend to it, with three cats, probably once every three days, but that's better than several times a day.

Hi, We had one about that time as well and honestly can't remember why we dumped it!  Stupid me!  Maybe it broke or something, who knows.   I'll look into those again, thanks!

My experience is the engines go out every three years. I'll take it. It's worth it to me to not have my place smell up!!

Sometimes when you have a lot of cats, and I also have 3 cats, you will need to get another cat box!  My oldest cat would go in places she shouldn't go, because we had a new cat.  I found that having another cat box worked.  Now everything is ok, sometimes she will pee in the toilet.........LOL...........I have seen her do it. Good luck, Annabelle

We have 2 boxes but it's me catching the man to help me empty them that is the issue, lol!!  We have 2 adult kitties and one PIA kitten who poops an amazing amount daily, lol!!  ;) I'm going to look into that rolling litter box first and see how that goes... I just read some littermate reviews and they're not-so-good... there HAS to be a reason we trashed the thing, lol

I've been a cattery owner and cat breeder for 30 years. My son had 3 of my cats. When he had two the Litter Maid units worked fine. But with 3, you have to watch them closely. You also have to find the right litter medium for you.  You might buy 2 or 3 brands before you find one that clumps good and works with the Litter Maid sifting mechanism well. Good luck. DAVE

Thanks Dave!

I think we've decided we are going to try the roller one, Omega first.  We'll see how that goes, then bust out the funds for the Littermate.  We'll keep 2 boxes but see how this one works, it actually looks pretty cool :)

Well I got the Omega litter box, $35.00 at Petsmart.

It's very big!  It's also pretty ingenious, whoever invented this was really smart, lol!!

It's still heavy to move, but not as difficult as lifting a box to empty.  And the little drawer means no chance of touching stinkies!!  :)
