GOOD Tuesday Morning Cali!

Looks like I'm the first to hit the board for the morning post.     Good Morning everybody! It's Tuesday, July 8th, and supposed to be a hot, hot and muggy day, at least here in SoCal. Be sure to stay cool this afternoon and sip, sip, sip and sip again from tha****er you will keep with you today. The high temps are predicted to peak by Thursday so be prepared folks. Only three more days until a TGIF and weekend. Always look on the bright side I say. Dont know about the rest of you but I had a hard time with my back to work Monday. I didn't sleep well Sunday night, had a dry hamburger patty for dinner and it got stuck. Didn't fall asleep until almost 3 am and I was dog tired all day yesterday. Not to mention I am just dragging from the stress and all the changes in routine with brother Bob in the hospital. Nephew Rob went home to Phoenix Sunday so I am on my own so to speak.  BUT... there was actually good news yesterday when our doctor came to se Bob while I was there after work. He hadn't seen him since last Thursday evening and said he was surprised and delighted with the positive change in Bob's condition. Now, mind you, Bob is still a sick man but finally is improving. He was taken off both of the low blood pressure meds over the weekend and his body is maintaining an acceptable blood pressure on it's own. The chest tube should come out today or tomorrow AND Dr. J is planning on moving him out of ICU and to a regular room on the floor maybe as soon as today. YIPPEE! Then we see how it goes. His kidneys are still off line and not working so he had dialisis yesterday. Anyway I am a bit less stressed this morning, slept well last night and with a bit more coffee will be ready to take on the day.  Thank you all again for your prayers, good thoughts and well wishes. I can only believe they helped!!! Anyway I have gone on and on so I need to let the rest of you tell us what's up with you for the day.  Stop reading and start  guys! Good morning Steve and Cali! Steve - so glad to hear Bob is on the mend. what a releif to be getting out of ICU. Continued prayers to you and your family. Yesterday was very busy at work and I was still tired from the weekend. Went to bed at 7:30 last night then was up in the middle of night for a couple of hours. So needless to say, I'm still tired. Today is looking to be busy at work too. I think I may try to head in a few minutes early if I can get Sammi moving. Better run, have a good day Cali! Sue

What wonderful news about Bob, Steve.....and yes all them prayers do work and they will continue to keep coming at Bob and you too my friend!

Sorry to hear that you had tummy issues. Nothing worse that getting that dry meat caught...I know it hurt and I hope that you are feeling better today!  

I acutally slept last night because I was on the go all day yesterday from the moment I got up around 4 I think and did not stop until I laid down to watch the Bachelorette last night...managed to stay up until 11 too! I swear any of you who watched this....wow that DeAnna really took a 180 and who says the ugly duckingly never wins. She picked Jesse and someone I would have never seen coming...but I am happy for them!

Yesterday, I finally got MissCrankyPants Ava to paint. This was NO easy feat for sure. She really was all over the place and she sure seemed to enjoy herself for the most part!

 

She managed to actually do 4 paintings for her room....and like any true kid had to sample the paints!   I am anxious to see what she will do with paste!!!  Yum paste!! I will take some pics of her artwork after I get it back from Sandy as she took them to her mom's to show her. Sandy and James were all jazzed about it!

Today I am going out with my new friend and another friend of hers for breakfast and an excursion to Ross. Her weekly thing I think.

Other than that, I need to try and stay cool. It is supposed to be 114 (it will be hotter than that) and we are expected to have high humidity too. My pool is downright warm....like bathwater really....I feel like having ice blocks delivered and thrown in there. They actually have cooling systems for pools out here....but...too much money. You know at this time of year, we cannot even get cool water out of the tap!

Well have a great day everyone...remember to drink your water, move your body within reason with this heat....and think about what goes down the hatch!!!

Janine, I laughed so hard at the finger, errrrrrrm body, painting photos!  What a hoot Ava is.  Thanks for your well wishes. :-)  I'll join you on the bench tomorrow afternoon.  Woo hoo! Tonight I'm meeting with another patient of Dr J's which will make the time go faster.  I'll have my MoM ****tail, 2 Tylenol PMs and sleep well.  Oh the power of positive thinking, eh? ---jan--- 1 day til my RNY!

MISSY AVA IS A NATURAL ARTIST. HER COLOR CHOICES ARE AWSOME AND HER FINGER STROKES ARE AMAZING. BY THE LOOKS OF MISSY AVA SHE EVEN GAVE THE PICTURE A KISS TO FINISH HER MASTER PIECE.  I GIVE THAT PAITNING 2 THUMBS UP. AND IF I HAD MORE THUMBS I WOULD GIVE IT MORE. KEEP ON TEACHING GRANDMA, IT'S  SO WONDERFUL THAT YOU TAKE SO MUCH TIME WITH YOUR GRANDBABIES TEACHING THEM THE ROPES OF BEING AN ARTIST.
