Pre-op worries... Help!

Hi everyone!
My surgery is scheduled for this Thursday, July 10th, but this morning I felt like crap. I woke up and I was cold and getting goose bumps all over my body plus I felt so sleepy and feeling like **** I woke up for a couple of hours and as soon as my DH left to the shooting range I went back to sleep for about 3 hours. I woke up and I felt light headed and not myself. I started feeling better when I took "1" Tylenol. Yes "1". I forced myself to take a shower and now my right side of my throat is hurting...
Any advise? Please Help.
Thanks.

I hope it is a case of pre-op nerve****ting ya!    Glad you listened to your body and went back to bed for more rest.  Probably the bes thing for you today. Hope you will be up for the support group meeting!   I am planning on going.   Take care of yourself!

Thanks for your advise. Yes. I do plan on going to the support group. I figure it will be best for me to go before surgery. I hope to see you there.

I hope you're feeling better this morning.  If not, call your doctor's office.  It may be nerves, I know I'm nervous today and am listening to a relaxation tape to clear some of my jitters.  Good luck on Thursday! Be well, ---jan--- 2 days til my RNY!

Good Luck Jan.
I wish you the best for Wednesday. Keep us posted.
Yes, I do think that it is nerves, I'm trying to get control of them. Plus I have a EKG today and I don't know how that works.

Thanks! The ekg is a breeze.  They attach a few electrodes, attached to wires, to you with some gel and take readings.  You don't feel a thing. :)  ---jan---

Hi there!  Hope you are feeling better.  Just wanted to chime in about the EKG....it is NO big deal!  All they do is put some sticky tabs on you around your chest and hips and then attach leads to it and then it monitors your heartrate.  You feel NOTHING!! Best of luck to you! Vicki

I'm feeling much better today. I'm still feeling that sore throat on the right side but nothing major.
I appreciate everyones feedback. I'm glad to have great online friends that I could ask questions and get great feedback on.

like everyone else, i hope it's just pre-op jitters, too....but...just in case... they can always postpone it for you until you are feeling 100%!!

Take good care of yourself!

When I start feeling like that, I drink an Emergen-C before bed at night. If I decide to take a nap, I take 1000 mg of Vitamin-C before I lay down. It sounds to me like you might be coming down with tonsilitis...I sure HOPE NOT! I hope you feel better!
