Weird Morning for sure!
Well this morning Jeff and I got up for an inpromtu motorcycle ride downtown for coffee and breakfast. It was great.....and as many of you know I have not ridden much since I had that accident. I am slowly building my confidence..baby steps.
Well after a nice breakfast and as we were getting ready to leave, there was a man down on the ground that I had passed in the restuarant a bit earlier. His partner was stooped down talking to him and had a cold rag on his head. I asked him if there was anything I could do...he said he didn't know what to do. I said to him let me call for a paramedic. He allowed me to. Well a fire truck, the ambulance and the paramedic truck arrived in full sirens. YIKES!!!
This guys...I think 7 or 8 men were all over this man...they got an IV in him....his blood pressure was 90/56. They took him to the hospital down the street.
So Jeff and I were going to leave and he left his light on his bike...so dead battery. Funny image....me running pushing Jeff down the street. No go! I had to go home, get Jeff's man truck which I have NEVER driven, get jumper cables and resuce him! I did good!
Well when we were leaving, I said to Jeff can I stop by the hospital to see if this man was doing okay. I walked into the ER and his partner and another man were sitting there and still did not know how Paul was. I offered to help him any way he needed as they are both visiting for 2 weeks here. Frank was very grateful for my help and the shock that I would care enough to stop by and see how Paul was. He hugged me several times and I gave him my number to call.
I think Paul got heat stroke or dehydration and told Frank that with the high heat coupled with the humidity that they really need to keep water with them and when they think they drank enough...they need to drink more!
So definitely a weird morning....I am off to go exercise and then be a pool pig!!!
Continue having a great day everyone!

Yet more proof that bikers are great people! Good for you Janine. Have you joined B.A.M.? We just did at our event in Reno last month. It's a bikers helping bikers program. Great for guys like that who are away from home and have an unexpected stay in an unfamiliar town, or need someone to visit them in a strange hospital, etc. RUSSBROWN.COM if you are interested. Our accident was almost two years ago, and we had friends with us as well. We all had an unexpected hotel stay and it would have been nice if we'd had someone to call back then. Our friends could have gone on their way knowing we were in good hands instead of canceling the rest of their trip. Anyway, good for you again for helping out. We have seen this situation locally, too. People just don't anticipate our heat here.
