Looking forward to seeing those pictures of Ava and Humter in their patriotic finery Janine! A big   Birthday Babiesto little Miss Jordyn too!  4 months on the fourth... very appropriate! Thank you again to all who are keeping my brother and family in your thoughts and prayers. We are humbled by your kindness and support. Bob continues to be in critical but stable condition and we are being told recovery from this episode can take a good deal of time.... many days to weeks even. Geeze.... Not much on our agenda today. I want to spend some extra time with Bob and I know my Mom would like us to come over for dinner this evening. Maybe watch the Redlands fireworks display from her patio as well. We'll see how the day plays out. So kids, enjoy your holiday, your family and your friends. Stay cool in the shade and hydrated!  Big Hug Hugs And Kisses Kisses

Good Morning Cali! Happy 4th of July!  Happy Hat  I too love the 4th and always say that everyone is celebrating my bday with fireworks, my bday was the 1st.  I am excited this year as it will be the first year I take my lil man to see  Fireworks I hope he loves them! Today is bbq and swimming at a friends house and lots of eating.  I know I know probably not the best things but I'm on the count down to my pre-op liquid diet and even more so to my BIG day, so I am going to enjoy myself.  Steve, I want you to know that we are sending our prayers to you and your family.  Your brother is fortunate to have you as you seem to be such a kind and gentle man.  Janine, your grand babies are so lucky to have you.  My son absolutely loves his Bubbie (grandmother).  Sometimes, it seems he loves her more than me.  LOL!  He sounds a lot like your Hunter, he is very calm, mellow and very easy going.  Maybe it is a BOY thing! He is two and still very easy going, mellow and always has a smile on his face.   To everyone with surgery dates this month how are you doing with the upcoming date nearing?  I am getting really impatient.  I find myself counting the days.  I think I am anticipating the pre-op diet more than anything as I know it will be tough for me.   To everyone else, Happy 4th of July and be safe! eeeeek 5 days! lol  I'm mostly keeping busy so I don't freak out too much. :)  I wake and think...you'll never be able to have this or that again.  But then I remember that's what got me here in the first place and settle down. I will tell you that I want a hazelnut chocolate bar real bad.  Those old habits trying to sneak out.  I keep tamping it back.  I had a package of chicken jerky instead. lol  It's definitely not the same but it got me through the moment. ---jan---

Jeni, I know everything is going to be fine with your biopsy. always in my prayers!! Just want to share a little of yesterday's outcome with you all. I had my consult with the PS to see if they can remove the panni with the hernia repair and it looks encouraging! They think I definitely have a good case with as low as my panni hangs and how severe my hernias are and they are going to make sure it looks good on paper because Medi-cal is tougher!!   But the WOW moment of the day was when he said I had a petite frame!!! ME??? The image  who'd of thunk!!!! lmao  thanks for all the prayers, support, and friendships!!! I love you all and am so glad to have you in my corner!!!                             bff's

Hello California! Sorry I missed yesterday.  It was my birthday and I was out and about with my gf running to the grocery store, going to the beach.  DH and I had dinner at her home afterwards.  She's a chef and she fixed fillet mignon and an almond flour and splenda chocolate cake!  YUM  what a great present. :-)  No more craving. lol I was up and gone early to another friend's this morning.  She had knee surgery and I took over a meatloaf and made crab and spinach omelets for breakfast.  Now I can relax a bit and catch up with everyone here. Our fireworks are tomorrow night,  All the fireworks specialists were taken for tonight and with the fires still burning they didn't want to take any chances. Have a great 4th of July!  ---jan---

Hello Cali Friends!!! I was up and at'em early this morning. Our church had it's 4th Annual Car Show and Chili-Fest today. I was great seeing all the cars. I through some chilli together in the crockpot and made 2 pans of cornbread last night. (one with sugar and one with Splenda). Took it to church this morning and signed up for the chili contest. I came in Second Place!!! This is the first year that I have entered the chili contest. Woohooooo!!!. The cornbread with Splenda was really good too (I just had a small piece of it). I've been doing really well with my eating habits. I had fruit this morning when I got to church, a small serving of the chili that I made and some watermelon later on. I now find that I crave fruit over sweets since surgery, but I am not going nuts eating a lot of it. Hope everyone has a safe and sane 4th. Jason and his girlfriend are coming up later this evening...ugh!
