New Here - Got a Surgery Date!!!!
Hi, I'm Tasha and I'm new to this board. I met with my surgeon today and have my surgery date of July 31, 2008. I'm excited, nervous, etc.... and am so glad I found this website and message boards. I've been reading through everything the last couple of days and the posts are so helpful!
I'm having my surgery at the John Muir Weight Loss Surgery Center in Concord, CA and am wondering if anybody out there has experience with Dr. Chin? He seems fantastic, I was very impressed with him today. However, he's new... so new he's not listed on this site yet!!
Looking forward to getting to you know all and hearing all about your journeys!!

Tasha,
Congratulations on getting your date and all that you have gone through to get here. I am new to this board, live in Concord and just attended my WLS orientation at Kaiser Fremont. I have an appt with the surgeon and nutrition team on July 25th. So I don't know anything about Dr. Chin. But i am just over the hill and am very open to being a cheerleader for you. Even if you just want to chat...I am open. Congrats!~Elli
Hi and welcome to the Cali board, and congratulations on your surgery date!!! I'm very excited for you to start this awesome journey!!
Don't be afraid to ask any questions, the only stupid questions are the unasked ones!!! May God bless your journey!! biggest hugs, Becky

Hey Tasha....welcome to the Caliboards and a big congratulations on your surgery date!!!! This site is a great source of information and it is all I had after my wls. Keep posting and asking questions and become a part of a great group of people!

Congratulations on your surgery date! I'm too far north to know your doctor. Ask how many surgeries he's done that are the same as yours. What his survival rate is. What percentage of people have problems and what they are. An informed patient is a healthier patient. :)
Let us know if you need any help.
