OT - Job interview in Redondo Beach

Hi everyone I'm from the desert and am now considering relocating to the beach area. I have an interview on Thursday for a job that if I get it pays MUCH more than I make now. Comuting is not an option due to distance and gas prices. Can anyone give me any insight into cost of living in the area? Cheap apartments or rooms for rent? I have to be there at 10:00 Thursday so I'm looking into staying down there the night before. My concern is moving expenses since I am currently unemployed for the summer. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks Lisa

Hi, Lisa... well, when I think of Redondo Beach "cheap" is NOT what comes to mind, unfortunately. It's beautiful... I love the South Bay...was raised in that area.

I go there for fun only these days, and have NO idea what prices /rents of apartments are...

I wonder if you browse Craigs List if you could get an idea of rents?

best wishes!!

Lori

looking for rentals a little farther inland like Torrance, or Carson might be more affordable than Redondo Beach....a 1 bdr in Redondo Beach is going tobe about $1500 a month.
