Some shed some light.......
So I have been getting worried about this lately. I have a friend that went and saw her surgeon a few days ago and he told here that you lose for up to 18months, which I was aware of when I did this, but now I am getting worried because I am only 7 months out and have lost 100lbs. I only have about 115lbs to lose(that is pushing it) I am just scared that I am going to get to skinny and look sick. If I were to stop losing weight now I would be happy with were I am at, but I know I am going to lose more. Can someone shed some light on my worry.
Thanks so much!!

Hey Girlfriend
can't help you with this as I have a very long way to go before I start worrying about being "to thin". You are doing great and I am so proud of you. Can't wait to see you both on Sat....
Now about those eating habits - just stop that right now. That late at night eating is the worst. I know I sometimes don't eat enough as well but I make sure and never eat after 7pm. I really do notice a change for the better when I eat breakfast early - just starts the day out better.
So, get back on track and start eating your breakfast, lunch and dinner and stop that late night stuff....
Hugs to you
You sound like me. I had 114lb to loose and at 6 months had lost 100lb. I too was afraid of loosing too much weight but at 7m post op I stopped loosing and was at a plateau for 2 months. Then at 9 months I started loosing again but this time much slower. At 1 year I was at goal with 114lb lost. I stayed there until getting pregnant with my DD at 16m post op. I'd gained 30lb with her and was able to loose almost all of it (with the exception of 2-4lb). Now I'm prego with #2 and have only gained about 1lb in 14w. I'm sure your body will even out and slow the weight loss down. You'll be fine!
As for the eating that's not the greatest for keeping your metabolism and blood sugars even. All I can say is that you're responsible for what goes in your mouth and when...you DO have the power to change your eating habits.
Good luck & congrats on your awesome weight loss thus far!

I can't help you with the too thin thing either. I seriously doubt I will ever feel thin enough but I am trying to fix that in my head. I am 5'6 and weigh between 160-165. The Metropolitan Life scales (you know that thing your doc goes by and my doc did go by it) says I should weigh 140.2 pounds. OH... the late night snacking thing. I always brush and floss right after dinner and I hate messing up all that "hard" work and that great clean mouth feeling by eating. Good Luck!

Willa,
I am at the same place as you right now... I am about 4-5 pounds from Dr. Francis goal, my weight loss has slowed down dramaticly and people are telling me I am too thin, I just posted about this on the main rny page. I am content with where I am right now. I think our body's tell us when we are done, and as long as we don't go back to old/bad habits everything will be fine..stop eating after 7pm like Jean said.
Good luck
Dordean
