I pray that all is well with everyone!  I continue to be very frustrated with trying to post on here, but I'll just keep trying. Mostly I just want to encourage all who are comtemplating WLS.  Do your homework!  For me, this new change has truly been an awesome blessing.  I'm 4 years post-op now, and loving everyday that I made this decision.  My health is so much better now.  The only problem that I have now is staying away from the bad carbs.  I'm having to learn and stick to better food choices.  I was an emotional snacker before, and I've learned that some of those same bad habits will follow you into your new life if you're no****ching.  I'm learning to not allow what "cursed" me before WLS, to curse me after WLS.  So, my little advice to all, be aware and don't allow yourself to fall into past traps or past temptations.  Stay watchful!  We want this success to truly last our entire lifetime!  God bless you all! Today is my BEST day! Love always, Rose

Thanks Christine!  I started coming back to OH because the support is wonderful.  So many of us here knows exactly what the others are going through at any give time.  That's awesome because we never have to feel like we're going through this alone!  :o)  You won't believe this but, I was just in your beautiful city last Saturday at the Tae Kwan Doe tournament!  The reason I mention this, is because it was the very first time that I have WALKED OUT ON THE BEACH IN 18 YEARS!!!  I was so overweight until it just wasn't comfortable to go to the beach all covered up to hide my size.  Well, I did it this past Saturday!!!  :o)  I was so happy walking along the beach, picking up rocks and shells...smelling the wonderful salty air!!!  I love the ocean and always have.  This was another milestone for me after having WLS!!!  I just had to mention that when I saw your city name. Thanks again and God bless! Rose
TODAY is my BEST day!!

Hi Rose, Congratulations!  that is so awesome.  I'm glad you are out living life again!  There is so many beautiful things out there in the world to just "take in" and I certainly believe that being out on the beach on the ocean is truly a gift from God.  My husband and I enjoy going to the beach so much! I am glad you are posting..........I'm sure you have lots of great advice to give us "Newbies" just learning and trying to find out all we can on WLS and life after! Jeni
