Yeah, I'm proud..and more...
I came back from lunch and my inbox was jammed with all these congrats from co-workers and friends and some of them are one in the same....lol I almost cried.
I wanted to share this with you as a testimony to how this surgery and my positive outcome has changed me, not to mention my work outlook. I was not a very happy camper when I weighed 114 pounds more and it reflected in my attitude towards my job as an Admin Assistant. I didn't have the energy to run around our building to do my job, I was lazy, my lower back would hurt if I had to stand for longer than a few minutes. I was blessed to have support for this surgery from every angle,my husband, family, friends, bosses, co-workers, etc. I truly feel that my success and positive attitude about the surgery is due to that. So, anyhow, I just wanted to share this special moment with all of you. I'll find out Friday if I won, and honestly, just like they say at the Academy Awards, just being nominated is enough. This is the email that was sent out today to the staff:

KIM G. - Supports on average 200 employees, she works very hard to make sure the temperature is comfortable throughout the building. Serves everyone with a smile and genuine warm attitude, approachable and helpful. Ensures that everyone is informed in the building and does it in light, funny manner. She takes on many things that others do not want to do, she does this in a quiet, non-disruptive manner; never takes the glory for having taken care of it.

Kim I am sure you do not give yourself enough credit prior to wls...wls enhanced your life considerably, but you had all the qualities there prior to the surgery too. With the layers melting away you are just shining even brighter!
