A Starbucks wow this morning

So we had a few extra minutes this morning before my husband dropped me off at work so we went to Starbucks to get me a skinny latte.  I walked out with it and as I walked across the patio area, I saw my old nemesis....their stupid Chair 3 chairs that my  Moony 1never used to be able to fit into.  I put down my skinny latte, purse and sat down in the chair.  And I now fit!   For any of you who are pre op, don't be dumb like me and not measure yourself, I'd love to know how many inches I've lost, but now I won't.  If you don't want to face the numbers right now, have a trusted friend measure you, write the numbers down and put them someplace safe.  When you're 6 months out, you'll get a kick out of seeing the numbers have shrunk.  Then, later on at work, one of the ladies from HR came by for something, and she did a double take when she saw me.  She saw me thru the window into my office, walked in and said, "Oh my God, you've lost so much weight!!!"  It was a very cool moment!   Ballerinaxo  Kim

Congrats Kim - isn't that the best feeling.... I am like  you - didn't measure myself in the beginning so you are right in telling all the newbies and pre ops to MEASURE yourself for sure..... Keep up the great work

As much as you might hate it, you should take monthly pictures (front/back/side) and measurements. It might be painful to begin with but you will be sooooo happy you did! When the scale gets stuck and you plateau, and you will, it helps to see the differences in the pictures or the measurements to know that something is moving!!! And besides, you will be shocked at how fast the changes come!!! And some people can't see the changes in the mirror, but see it in side by side picture comparisons!!!  May God bless your journey!  biggest hugs, Becky
