Sleep Apnea - how long after surgery.........

Ok, so when did you know you didn't need the sleep apnea machine anymore.  Were you scared to sleep without it? I am down to 244 lbs!  I was 242 lbs back in 2002,  but then gained it all back and then some. I was 175 lbs in 1991 before I had my first daughter.  I lost 43 before surgery and 68 since surgery.  I cannot wait until I am under 200 lbs!  That will be so exciting. Hi Annabelle, Woohooo on your losses! I asked how long it took before you're off the CPAP at my support group last week.  One woman said a week out.  I didn't think to ask how she knew she didn't need it.  Good question.  Inquiring minds want to know. ;-) ---jan--- still waiting for a surgery date

I did not need mine anymore just few days after surgery.

The only real way to know is to have another sleep study.
