Surgery Tuesday
I am going in for my long awaited surgery on Tuesday at Kaiser Fremont with Dr Hahn. I am excited as well as a little nervous. There are so many different opinions of how the surgery goes and what to eat, it is very confusing!
My wife and I went shopping yesterday and I think we have everything that I am going to need for my stage I and stage II diets.
Any helpful tips or suggestins from all of you 'losers'
TIA
Dave
Waiting impatiently for my surgery date!
Hi Dave! Hey congrats! Man, I so remember being excited, and not a bit nervous the night before mine last Oct 1st! Definitely bring chapstick, your own pillows for the hospital bed, as the ones they usually have there are like rocks. They also work well to put in between you and seat belt for the drive home no matter how short it is. We only had to drive maybe 20 miles home and it sure helped. I wish you good health and a speedy recovery, you're not going to beleive how awesome this ride is. I'm down 114 pounds and am loving life. I have about 70-90 to go, but am so happy I did this, never a moment of regret. Be sure and drink your water and get lots of exercise by walking post op, that's SO important. Take good care! Kim
You'll be surpised, you'll need a lot less than you think you'll need. As soon as your well enough to use any of it they send you home. I brought a pillow and left it in the car for the ride home. That was one of the best things I had. I didn't bring them in with me through the check in process etc there is no place for them. Your wife can bring them up to you if you need it.
Best of luck and congratulations Dave!

Thank you all for the kind thoughts!
I think I remember reading about the pillow issue, are you that sore that you can't put on your seat belt?
I am typing this in between trips to the loo, just took my Phospho -soda prep - I just know you all needed to know that!

Waiting impatiently for my surgery date!
