Good Sunday Morning Cali!

Good afternoon Janine and Cali Crew. At 11;00 last night it was stil in the mid-80s here...ugh! Nothing on my agenda today. Still stuck at home while hubby is out at the reace track...again. I'm just gonna take it easy and sip, sip, sip...I am feeling so much better. I have an appointment with Ortho on tuesday to see how the ankle is doing. Then on wednesday, I see Dr. Zorn. Won't that be "loads" of fun when he sees I've broken my ankle?? UGH! Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Get that protein in ans sip, sip, sip!!! =)

Good Afternoon, Just got done cleaning the carpet and now I am going to be running out and hanging in the cold pool for awhile.  It was so hot yesterday, and within 10 minutes I could feel the sun burning on my back.  Of course we went out yesterday to see if I could find something to wear to an open house instead of pants.  Well I did find something, and while I am not into a size 9, and will never be, WTG Janine. I bought a size 18 skort.  Also it's not stretch.  I cannot believe it, that last time I wore a size 18 I WAS 18.  I remember my prom dress was a size 20, and it was ugly.  Also I bought a top that was a 1xl, but if they had an extra large that would have worked better, BUT I wasn't in a regular store.   So now I am going to start to shop at other types of stores.  It's really hard for me to get out of going to the big ladies stores, I don't even know where to shop because I have never been out of Lane Bryant in over 40 years.  Ok, enough rambling, I am off to the pool and just hang out.  I know it's hot, and the pool is cold, but it does feel good.   Everyone stay cool and stay inside, unless you are in water, it is way to hot for anything else, but drinking and floating in a pool. Hello everyone! Wow, size 9!  Kudos Janine. :)  I don't remember ever wearing a 9.  Maybe next year. :) Our Petaluma support group was good yesterday.  The dietitian talked about safely shopping in Safeway.  There were several things on the list I never heard of, so more foods to try for post surgery.  She also talked a little about restaurant eating, something I have a problem with because we live in the boonies and when we get to the city, I kind of go wild with all the choices.  She's going to do restaurant a tour in San Francisco and show folks what they can safely eat.  The one thing that made my day is knowing I can still have chicken satay at my favorite Thai restaurant once I'm on solids again. :-)  That made my day.  It was hot in Petaluma high 90s so I was very happy to get home to the coast where is was 72.  We have company coming over later today so I'm going to get my walking in now.
