Good Sunday Morning Cali!

Good Morning Cali and welcome to Sunday's edtion of OMG being a granny is tiring! 

Okay yeah I can laugh about it, but I am telling you between Ava and Hunter, they wear you out! Thankfully, Hunterpants is a laid back little fellow....flirts to the max that is for sure! Ava on the other hand is Miss HighMaintance! I love her to pieces, but she is going through a rough patch of teething and is not pleased. 

I just got her back down...she is usually an all night sleeper, but not tonight. Oh darn I am up..no big surprise eh? I took her to a birthday party late this afternoon...wow she was like what the heck? It was a bit overwhelming even for me. I have come to realize how quiet my world can be when I am not working. All the noise even for me assaulted my senses....too many little ones and a houseful of talking adults...YIKES...and no way could we go out side because of the heat.

Speaking of which...it is 101 at this time of night still....oy...it should be in the 90's still at day break...and speaking of break...are we ever going to get a break from the hundred teens out here. Jokingly, the weather person said on the news that it was going to feel frigid here this week in the low 100's...dork!

Yesterday when I was out....OMG I got so sick.....I had my water and everything with me...drinking....and I still got sick. I cannot remember when the heat got to me like it did yesterday. I was in Wallyworld and wanted to just about die! 

I went in there to get Ava a new swimsuit and it is one of the few places I can get jean shorts that actually fit me...and are you ready for this.....my big wow moment for the moment.....I can fit in 9 LEI jean shorts....and do they fit good....you know good in all the right places! In some respects I know I must be trim because for me to fit into cheap clothes and in a 9....well I am doing something right!

Hey before I forget here as I ramble and caught between wanting to kill my dogs because they are barking their heads off probably at cats walking the walls around here.....................................LU LU.....I already got those papers you sent on Friday! I have not opened them yet, but will do so after Ava leaves in the morning.....want a boxer LuLu? 

So how is everyone else doing with this heat?   I hope you all stayed cool today and what is on your agenda for Sunday? Perhaps being a pool pig?  A little bit of the   sprinkler....or maybe just soaking in a cool   anyway you decide to spend the day....do it with WATER!!!!!! Have a great day everyone!

One person's Sunday morning is one person's Saturday night.  I just got home from a party!! 

It was great to get out and see some of my girlfriends that I had not seen since Christmas. I got lots of "Wow! you look so skinny!" comments.  It was so muc hfun to just dance and dance without having to sit and catch my breath.....and I even got behind the karoke mic.

I love summer, but OMG this heat!!!   I can't handle it!!  When it's hot in Long Beach I know it's sweltering everyhwere else.  As soon as I get my hands on a bathing suit I'm buying it and jumping in the water.  

Size 9 Janine!!?? WOW!!!  Did you ever think??  Today I tried on a size 14 dress and it almost fit, ALMOST....I just need to lose another inch. 
Well, time for bed...I'm singing tomorrow morning.  Happy Sunday!!!

Well, all.........it's 2:20 in the AM.  UGH.  Actually Saturday started out quite normal with Jayden and I going to get my blood drawn, then running errands then home.  Laundry, cleaning house and I was in the middle of vacuuming the rug in the living room (getting rid of all that darn blonde dog hair) and the vacuum shuddered and growled and spit out some of the most horrible smoke ever.  Dead.  Died.  Hasta-La-Vista.  Adios.  I chucked that sucker out the front door and did a happy dance (I have been waiting for-ev-er for the beast to belly-up on me!!!)  So here I am, smelly house, 1/2 the rug cleaned, the last load of laundry to fold and the adorable kid reminding me constantly how horrible the house smells.  What did I do??????   Put a movie on for the kid and I took a nap.   While napping we had a very serious loud thunder and lightning storm right over my house (I swear it really was right over my house!!!).  Pouring rain and here I was lightly sleeping through it all.  It wasn't a deep sleep, just that wonderful hoover between awake and darn near dead. Joe got home from work sometime during all this, caught his own few winks and then we headed out to Circuit City to buy me a brand new Nikon RED digital camera that is small enough to carry with me 24/7 in a pocket or purse.  We're standing there looking at cameras and my phone rings - it's the office (remember, I work for an electric utility in the construction office).  Lightning, while it can be a truely amazing light show, tends to be drawn towards transformers which, when struck by lightning, blow up.  Boom.  Blown up transformers do not allow electricity to go to customers houses.    Go figure. So........I've been here at work since 3:00 pm yesterday.  I'll be here until about 8:00 am when the relief gal comes in.  I had the nap earlier so I got to stay and she went home to bed.   Joe called me earlier before he went to bed and told me he and Jayden are busting out the quads in the morning and going riding.  Boooooo!  I wanna go, but will be in desperate need of some zzzzz's so I'll be jammied up, air conditioner on and catching a morning cat nap.  I'll check in with everyone later, but for now I have to run.  The radio is sqwaaaaking at me!  Shhhhh, don't they realize it's the middle of the night????????????

It is still in the 80's here outside but I am sitting here drinking some SF Hot Cocoa in hopes of going to sleep before 5AM!

I haven't had the opportunity to thank you Janine for the lovely comments you made about me. I am slowly but surely going to get to my goal weight. I still have very little interest in food so that helps. My downfall was SF Fudgebars and dry cereal. I cut those out and went back to protein shakes and small meals with just meat and veggies. You have done a great job Janine getting rid of the carbs and losing weight this far out. Ava and Hunter have got to be the cutest babies I have seen in a long time!

Both my laptops have been killed by my cats spilling ice tea on the keyboards! They still work but no typing!! The next laptop will be covered in plastic!

My sleeping pills are starting to kick in so off to bed I go. I hope everyone has a Super Sunday!

Janine....WOW they got there fast. Don't forget when you get the it back, you have to take me to dinner. LOL My 10% finders fee LOL.

Nothing much to talk about with working this weekend. I do know the heat is driving everyone into the ER and we were non-stop yesterday. Ya, the time goes faster that way, but dang, a break would have been nice. You know?

Everyone just loved my tatt and I think a few might be going to get a tatt with Julie. She really does a great job.

Tonight I have to run my 5 miles, I might wait do that in the morning, I'll re-think about when I get home, see how hot it still is when I get off.

Remember this one and all. Its been very hot. DRINK YOUR WATER!! If its not decaf, its not going to help you keep you levels up. The ER yesterday had 17 bed with folks that got them self dehydrated. So be very aware of that. This one lady kept saying, but he was drinking ice tea all day. Caffeine is a  DEHYDRATED it will not help you stay hydrated. So be very careful OK?

GOod morning Janine and crew.... Well all I have to say is I HATE THIS HEAT...although I am tolerating it much better with 131 lbs gone I still don't like it.  but thank GAWD for my central AC....except I won't like the edison bill next month who cares. Yesterday was a busy and long day.  My sister and I had some tables at a flea market here in Leisure World (we have them about 4 times a year).  we sold a TON of junk (one persons junk is another persons treasure right>?)...anyway I made a little over $200 and was very pleased with that...more $$ for Vegas baby. After the flea market I went to a friends house for a little happy hour libation (only 2 small glasses of vino with lots of ice....) then home to the AC. Today is low key.  Maybe the pool or maybe just stay inside with the AC and watch movies.... Janine I do not know how you handle that heat out there....be careful girlfriend..... Well I am just waiting for my newspaper to get here but for now....its time for some java ****d for sure). Everyone stay hydrated.
