My husband came with me and we stayed at the Lucerna Hotel. We drove down its about a 10 to 12 hour drive. I had surgery on a Tuesday and was home here by Friday. Dr Q said i could go home if i wanted too and i did. However, i have an awsome PCP up here that was willing to do my follow-up. You are so close and if you have someone going with you i would rather recover at home. The hardest part of the surgery for me was the fat grafting to the butt if it wasnt for that i think my recovery would have been easy. I was a little difficut to get out of bed the first week. I did make a bunch of meals for my husband so i knew he would be fed. He works very long hours and than would come home and take care of me. I would suggest getting extra pillows of you dont already have them. Since you are getting your boobs done got to Walmart and go get some front close sports bras. I think the name is bestform and they are like 7 bucks. Also get some tank tops to wear under your binder so it doesnt sweat and itch. I could not shower until my stiches were out so be prepared to give your self a sponge bath. You will have drains and what i did was put them inside my boyshort underwear. Rememeber when you take pain meds it makes it harder to poop, so have some stole softners on hand. Remember to wear somthing that you might not want to ruin. This is some of the stuff i could think of now. If you can get your PCP to write you antibiotics and pain meds you will save some money. We sent almost 200 pucks on meds in TJ for the first surgery. Some of that is because me more than one script for pain meds because they werent helping. Matter of fact i still have them. Second surgery i had boobs and arms and got PCP here to give me meds and it cost less than 20 bucks, and they worked. Dr Q is awsome. Good Luck
