HAPPY THURSDAY CALIFORNIA (A BIT EARLY)

To start out Thursday (albeit a bit early), here are some wacky news stories, and they are all true!! Lincoln police have a message for local joggers with exhibitionist tendencies: The thong is wrong. Police arrested a man on Saturday night for running on a Lincoln bike trail in his thong underwear.

 

Police say the 26-year-old man was arrested for indecent exposure.

 

Officers said they found him running around Holmes Lake wearing his socks, shoes and, of course, the thong.

Maybe he was trying to beat the heat. A Brooklyn restaurant cook is accused of stealing frozen lobster tails by stuffing them down his pants.

 

The Brooklyn district attorney's office said Tuesday that Raymundo Flores has been arraigned on misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

 

Co-workers called 911 on Sunday to report a crustacean caper at the walk-in freezer at Junior's Restaurant. Police say they found lobster tails that Flores allegedly had hidden in his pants and in bandages on his legs.

 

Flores, a Manhattan resident, has been freed without bail. He's due back in court on July

Leona Helmsley's dog isn't quite as well-heeled as she used to be. Manhattan Surrogate Judge Renee Roth has reduced the trust fund for the little dog, named Trouble, from $12 million to $2 million.

 

The remaining $10 million now goes to Helmsley's charitable foundation.

 

The 9-year-old Maltese lives in Florida with the general manager of the Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel. Helmsley died last August.

 

The court decision, made April 30, became public Monday.

JANINE   – I don’t want to accidentally forget you again.  My bad for doing it before.  With all the weight you are losing, you are soon going to be weighing in the negative numbers!  I have to say I am jealous.  I can’t seem to get the motivation I need to lose.  I do good one day, bad the next.  Congrats to you for finding the magic way to keep on losing so far out from surgery.

 

JENDENI   – I, and everyone else I’m sure, will be thinking of you during your biopsy.  All will be well,  but I can certainly understand the worry.  Isn’t walking late a night wonderful?  I have started doing that myself and I love it!!

 

PAULA   – Hello, my fellow Vegas friend!  Your job sounds pretty neat.  I have just been off less than a month and I am already getting bored, bored, bored.  I may take some summer classes at the junior college just to get out of the house.

 

MS SHELL   – Hello to you girlfriend!!  I hope you have some fantastic plans this weekend, and it involves staying out of this hot, hot weather.  I am going to be in Santa Barbara all weekend so I am really looking forward to it.

 

CHRIS S   – Congrats on your loss.  You are doing fantastic!  I was born and raised where it always got over 100 degrees everyday in the summer so I think I have it in my blood by now.  It doesn’t get as hot here as it does in the desert, but it does get hot just the same.  I am also only 25 miles from the coast, so if it gets too bad, just hop in the car and go to Morro Bay .

 

STEVE   – Glad you are happy with your weight, I wish I could say the same.  Oh well, it is better than what it used to be anyway.  Happy Thursday to you and to d as well.  Big hugs to you both!!

 

LIVING LIFE LU   – Yay for Fresser!!!  She know what to do and how to get it done!!  It is really cool to read of her adventures.  Please keep them coming!

 

JJ_IN_CA     – Congrats on the great loss and the downsizing in clothes.  Just remember to do as much thrift store shopping and trading clothes as you can because you will fly through the sizes as you lose the weight.  Have a great time in San Jose !!

 

JEAN   – Congrats on your continued loss!  Your transformation is really remarkable.  It is so cool to see you new avatars and the changes each one brings!

 

TAZ (SUE)   – Are you feeling the heat down there?  I keep meaning to look at the temps down in your area but keep forgetting.  It was a scorcher here yesterday.  My car temp was 105 at 4:30 pm.  Yikes!!  I hope that the steroids start working for you and you get to feeling better.  I can totally relate to how you are feeling about always being sick.  I went through a period when I was about two years out where I caught EVERYTHING that came along, but it finally did end.  I will keep you in my thoughts!

 

MONICA   – Wow, I can hardly wait to see Jordyn in person.  She is such a complete angel when sleeping!!  Congrats on making it through your first year of teaching for the L A U S D.  I am proud of you and I am sure you are making a huge difference in the kids lives, knowing they have a teacher that cares about them!

 

CANDI   – Have a great trip to Vegas.  Say hello to Elton for me.  Keep Kirsten and Kevin in line too!  Happy Birthday!!  Which day is your birthday?

 

KIM S   – Wow!  4 lbs and a pre-op!!  Great job!!  We will be thinking of you and have already reserved a spot for you on the loser’s bench!!!

 

SHARON   – Good morning to you!!  Congrats on your weight and holding steady.  How is the job hunt with your hubby?  I hope he finds what he wants to do.  It is no fun to not enjoy your job when you have to spend so much time there.

 

CHIRSTINE   -  You go girl, with your bad size 8 self!!!!  Congrats to you!!!!  Enjoy it as you go down even further!!!!

 

MADAME BUTTERFLY   – Holding steady is better than gaining any day.  Congrats!!  Keep up the good work!

 

KIM   – Woo hoo!!!  Congrats on the 180!  I am so glad that so many of you are going down and reaching new numbers.  I have to say I am a b it jealous, but still happy none the less!!  Have a great weekend!!

GUS  – Mmmmm yummy, I just LOVE rotisserie chicken.  It is $3.79 for a chicken at Food 4 Less so I am one of their best customers cause my boys love it too!!  I have been slacking in my gym routine because my elliptical machine at the gym has been broken for two weeks now and I hate using any different one so I use that as an excuse not to go.

 

CATT   – Woo hoo, down 4 lbs.  Congrats to you.  When is your contest over?  How did you do?  I voted for ya!!

 

MAUREEN   – You are one lucky lady!  Congrats on the winning!  I am not lucky in winning things like that.  Enjoy the winnings!

 

KATTITUDE   – Did I miss where you ended up with a broken ankle?  What happened?  I am so sorry but I hope you are not in too much pain.

 

HEATHER   – Hello to you, my dear friend!  I am so happy to hear that you are out living large.  Isn’t it wonderful?  Congrats for the new workout regime.  Keep up the good work!!

 

CAROL   – Relax, it might just be one pound this morning, but by next week it could turn into three, four or even five pounds.  You know what you are putting into your mouth, so don’t stress!  Enjoy your weekend!!

Hey Happy Birthday Jill...boys doing anything special for you? They should!!!!! Tell them I said so too!

I tell you Jill....I do not know how I am doing it although I never worry about what I did yesterday or what I am going to do tomorrow. I just stay in the moment and the day and if was anything I ever learned from OA is that it is one day at a time....period!!!!

I think the day before was the hardest day for me in some respects because Jeff had made himself some bruschetta....OMG the smell of that bread cooking in olive oil nearly killed me! I was a total bread ***** or anything to do with flour! I also knew that no matter how bad I wanted it....that craving really only lasted for about 20 seconds and I just went on about what I was doing and stayed away from the kitchen.

Just like any other addiction or addictive behavior, I know for myself that all I would have to do is take one bite and I could easily spiral out control. So I rather doubt that flour product will ever be a part of my life. Besides I cannot afford the clothes LOL!!!! I literally have almost one rack in my closet that is empty now because I get rid of my clothes as soon as I cannot wear them any longer. That is my way of making a committment to where I am at with my weight at that moment.

I am significantly smaller than when I had reconstructive surgery and Dr.K did a good job because with ballooning up a bit and then losing 50+ pds....I am still tight and not flabby (less still some leg issues, but that it trivial). I told Jeff that I am going to make an appt with him....he needs to fix an area (minor) and I know he is going to be surprised at how small I got.

DON'T GIVE UP JILL!! I wrote to another memeber that it is easy to give up and the only thing that impedes our success is ourselves. We have to be willing to allow ourselves to be successful. Once you allow yourself Jill there will be no stopping you!!!!

THANK YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT ME. I HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BUSY WITH WATCHING MY GRAND DAUGHTER WHILE MY DAUGHTER IS RECOVERING FROM THOSE KIDNEY STONES. SHE HAD TO GO INTO THE HOSPITAL ON TUESDAY TO HAVE THEM BLASTED. SHE WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN AND I GUESS THERE WAS INFLAMATION AROUND THE AREA AND SHE HAS A CYST IN HER OTHER KIDNEY. SO I HAVE BEEN BUSY TAKING CARE OF EVERYONE AND MY FLOWERS IN MY YARD.    

 IT'S SO HOT I CAN'T STAND IT. I STILL HAVE TO GO OUT AND TAKE CARE OF MY FLOWERS   SO I DON'T LOOSE ANYMORE TO THIS HEAT. 

HUBBY JUST LEFT THIS MORNING TO MY FAVORITE PLACE WITH MY SON, DAUGHTER INLAW, GRAND DAUGHTER,  MOTHER IN LAW, BROTHER IN LAW, SISTER INLAW AND NEPHEW. WOW WHAT A GROUP... HEHEHEHE. MOTHER IN LAW HAS A HOUSE BOAT ON LAKE MOJAVE AT KATHRINES LANDING IN ARIZONA,  ABOUT 10 MINUTES FROM LAUGHLIN NV.,   I LOVE LAUGHLIN.     I LOVE BEING ON THE HOUSE BOAT IN A COVE ON THE SANDY BEACH    AND WATER.    so LONG AS THE MOTHER IN LAW IS NOT WITH US.. LOL..

HUBBY WILL BE GONE TILL MONDAY.  HAVING FUN.. *sigh* I COULDN'T ASK HIM TO STAY HOME WITH ME, HE REALLY NEEDS A GET AWAY TOO. HE WORKS SO HARD AND WAY TO MUCH. Good morning Jillie and Cali. Only one more wake up to Friday! It was sooo hot here even right on the coast I was sweating. It felt good to me but DH thought he was going to have heat stroke. I think it hit 95 at our house and we're typically in the fog belt. I know it was 100 in SLO at work. So far the steroids seem to be helping. I feel better today than I have in a long time. Still not well but on the way. Happy Birthday to you! Bummer about the tooth. Sue

Happy Birthday Jillie Well yesterday the vice prince comes in to say he needs to go over my evaluation and would 12:30 work for me.  I say sure and the man never shows.  Of course this evaluation is based on what? He has never spent 1 day in my class since I have been there.  It better be an awesome eval. Well tomorrow is it.  Today should be a breeze. We only have periods 1 and 2 and i have period 1 conference so I don't have to see kids until 10 and they leave at 12.  Can you tell I'm ready for years end?  hee hee hee Everyone enjoy the day Monica

Typical.... they save the evaluations for the end of the year and then often don't show up... I'm sure you will get a perfect eval....how can you not??

I am most definitely taking the summer off and look forward to being a full time mom.  Not sure I'm ready for kayaking but I hope we do get to spend some time together this summer.  Plus she and I both have doctor appointments that day. Monica
