GOod morning  Janine anc crew - Janine those babies are just absolutely and without a doubt DARLING - and I too love the pose of Ava's....sounds like you had a great weekend. Thanks for the great shout out once again - you are just the bomb when it comes to keeping us all updated on whats happenin'.   I, too, am so glad I did the kayaking thing...it truly was amazing and I am so so so ready to do it again.   I have kind of a busy week planned - all fun stuff.  On Tuesday my sisters and I are taking our annual boat ride.  Ever since out parents passed, we take the Harbor Cruise in LB and take flowers out and throw them out in honor of the day we scattered our parents ashes.  Our dad passed first and I kept him home with me (his ashes) and them when mom passed we rented a lg boat and the whole family took the ride out of LB and scattered their ashes together.  So now my sisters go out once a year (we don't actually rent the boat as thats way to expensive) on the Harbor Scenic Cruise and throw flowers into the ocean in their honor - then we go to lunch after....so it is a sister day that we all look forward to each year. Then on Wed or Thurs sisters and I are meeting up with our cousin and her daughter and grand daughter for lunch (they are visiting from Colorado) so that should be fun as well. And for the next 5 weeks I am also helping out with babysitting my great nieces while their mom works summer school (HS teacher)...my sis and I are doing the baby sitting so they can save $$ (not having to pay day care) as they are looking to buy a house. So thats about it for me.....had a pretty calm weekend. Now Lauren....please keep us posted on your husband.  Pulmonary Embolism is very serious (I know first hand as I had bilateral PE in 2002).  I will be keeping you in my prayers that all is fine..... Good Morning Janine and Cali, Yes my dad couldn't believe how much she had changed.  He hadn't seen her since about 2 weeks old.  He will be visiting a lot this summer.  I did take a couple of pics of her this weekend will have my mom load them. Hi Janine and all of Cali~ I am doing okay.  Yesterday was a little tough in the morning because we were all missing Mike, but then he was able to call us and we were able to all talk with him for about an hour or so. On Saturday, I took the kids to the base pool- which is always fun-and my little guy ventured onto the big slide that they have there...he is hooked.  Sat. night, they showed a sneak preview of Get Smart, and although it had a glitch in the showing (it jumped from the middle to the end and then back again)...it WAS pretty funny.  The only thing that was annoying (well, other then the few minutes of everyone going "huh? what happened? I'm lost..." is that while the movie theater was filling up, there was a young "lady" going around taking flash pictures just willy nilly and about blinding everyone.  (Cheri~ WHAT was up with that??) I hope she enjoyed some shots she may have gotten of me, because I let her know in some not so subtle ways that I did NOT appreciate that.... After talking with Mike yesterday....it was a LAZY day!  I stayed in my PJ's until about 230, watching movies...(Lars and the real girl)- was a good movie, actually. Yesterday was great - my two guys made a birthday special.  We went and fed the geese and ducks, saw a movie and best of all Jayden finally mastered the art of tying his shoes!  His momma gave up a while back and just started getting slip on's and velcro.  Well, Jayden and his MoMo (me) sat down  yesterday and in about 30 minutes he had the process down!!!! Now we're working on speed because MoMo and Jayden are going to have a shoe tying speed contest next Saturday! I'm back to work today after two whole weeks off.  Man, it was heaven.  I have a support group meeting this week on Thursday, and next week a nurse-counsellor appointment and then hopefully we can submit to the insurance company for approval.  Let's keep fingers and toes crossed. I can relate to all you teachers out there!  You do deserve the summers off.  I raised several of those disgusting heathens (seriously, mine were kept in check - they have a healthy fear of their mother) and all their friends!  I have 1 foster son 25, two biological sons 25 and 22 one daughter 18, one step daughter 18, one step son 17 and another step son (my do-over Jayden) who is 5.  Not much gets past me! Have a great day.  I know I'll be ready for a nap this afternoon!

I hope everyone had a great weekend?!

I did get the dogs out for a walk. although it ended up being late yesterday evening before we went out. I walked them while I talked to my Dad on the phone. I am going to hitch 'em up and take 'em out right after I hit post here though.

I got in 96 grams of protein yesterday, and I am drinking a protein shake as I type this morning. I am going to get half of it or so down, then stick it in the fridge and fini**** when I get back from walking the dogs.

I finally got Chris to go see my Dr about all her health problems and she has a slew of specialist appointments coming up. Doc thinks she might have sleep apnea, so she is seeing a sleep specialist this afternoon about that....the ANA test on her bloodwork came back slightly abnormal (the test for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and other AI diseases) so she has to see a rheumatologist for that...she still has the ear infection so she is seeing an ENT thursday for that, and she still has the ovarian cysts, so she has an ultrasound next week to check on those....busy busy busy but I am glad we are finally going to start making some headway on getting her healthy...she had been seeing the same primary care Dr for almost 30 years (literally since before she was born) and he was just not being proactive enough on getting things figured out for her.

So...that makes for a busy week for me! Today I am going with Chris to see the sleep specialist...tomorrow I have 2 job interviews in the morning...Wed we have a Sparks game...Thursday I am going with Chris to see the ENT about her ear...and Friday I have another job interview! Makes me tired just thinking of it but I am also glad to be busy and moving!

OK...I better get the dogs out before it gets any hotter.

I hope everyone has a great day and for all the teachers starting vacation this week, congrats on surviving another year! Marcus's last day is Wed, then he's gonna be spending some time at his Dad's house over the summer.

good morning cali crew, i had a bummer day yesterday .. my nephew got jump yesterday and had to have surgery on his jaw... and it happened at work.. he's a sercuiry gaurd.. so the whole house hold is on pins and needles... but now it's time to move on ... gonna go for my walk before it gets to hot... the pictures of the babies are just soooo cute...  i hope today goes better then yesterday... well time to get off my but and get moving ... everyone have a blessed day....

Good Morning Everyone, Friday night- I washed my hair and ran some errands. Saturday- went to REI (used gear sale) and bought a messenger bag.  Tried to donate blood but my bp was too high.  Went to my hair appt.  (retightening).  We started at 3pm and did not finish until 11 pm.  Got a ride to a grad party and had to leave about an hour after I got there because my cousin had an emergency and needed my help.  We did not get to bed until 3 am!   Sunday- After have spent the night at my cousin's house, my cousin got up and fixed everyone breakfast.  Shortly thereafter, I went home to change and get ready for my date.  Jeffery is nice, but I really did not feel any chemistry with him.  Perhaps a new friend.  We just hung out in Hollywood.  I caught a great sale at Frederick's at Hollywood ( a $45 blouse for $9.74).  After I got home I went to the laundry mart to wash my shower curtain and bath mat.  After that, I was done. Janine- your grandbabies are just adorable.  Keep posting those pictures. Kim
