Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Good morning Cali crew Rossana and I are in San Francisco for a few days. We are staying at the timeshare in the market district. we are going to her aunts 80th birthday party. I turned in my class assignment this morning...thats one good thing about online classes. I'm in week 7 of my 10 week class. So far it is a "A" for the class. Hopefully I can keep it up. Have a great day all...be good to yourselves...YOU deserve it! Darrol

Good Morning, Ahhhh Fathers Day.  I have already gave my dad his gifts from Dougie and I, and the furbabies also gave their grandpa something nice.  We are going to my sisters house today in Chino Hills and have a day of fun with the rest of the crazy family.  Did I ever tell you, we are a housefull of Italian crazy people.  We all talk to loud, eat constantly, and laugh alot.  I have requested shrimp be on the menu today, yahoo, I will get all the protein I need from that today.  It's nice to have such a supportive family who takes good care of me and encourage me and support me in my weight loss journey.  I may even have some sugar free ice cream today.  My dad is having some problems with his blood sugar, pretty strange for someone 87, so I am watching what he eats.   Sorry that I missed the meeting yesterday.  I am still feeling crappy with this dang cold.  Five weeks and counting and already into day number 7 of antibotics.  Geesh, guess when you don't get a cold for years, it never wants to leave once you get one. So I hope that everyone has a happy Daddy's day.  We are so blessed to have our dad with us still.  Even more blessed that he is so vibrant and alive.  He is one amazing man, and I hope to have the quality of life that he has when I get his age.   God Bless all, and have a wonderful day. Good Morning/Afternoon Everyone, Happy Father's Day to the fathers in our group. My dad lives in Virginia so we talked by phone for an hour about fishing, hunting, solar, you know, manly things. :) We're off to neighbors this afternoon to fillet fish.  They went out this morning and came back with their limit.  They called to say If I fillet them all, I can have some.  That works for me!  Nothing like fresh fish, yum. After that we're off to the art center to hear a piano recital.  DH likes that classical stuff, I go to keep him company. :) Enjoy the day, ---jan---

Good Afternoon Janine and Cali,

Wishing everyone a Happy Father's Day! This is my second since my Dad has been gone and I still miss him so much.  We are having his Memorial Service next month near the 2nd Anniversary of his death. With all of us living so far apart and family issues I finally said screw it and set the date! I still haven't heard from my oldest brother if he can make it or not but everything is scheduled for the 19th at HIGH NOON, one of my Dad's favorite movies. He loved to watch all the old westerns on The Western Channel. I was so glad that I was able to get him satellite TV for the last six years of his life. He couldn't remember what he ate for lunch yesterday, but he could sing and quote songs word for word from movies made in the 30's, 40's, and 50's! I have wonderful memories of my Dad.

I am going to go take a nap with my husband and just have a lazy afternoon. I'm making him Carne Asada later which will be an easy dinner.

I hope everyone has a Super Sunday!

Susan
