This is going to be a cross post, so I can get the most information! My employer is having open enrollment for our medical plans and I am going to be enrolling in the Health Savings Plan.  I was wondering if there are people on the boards that 1. have a health savings plan? 2. Are you able to get reimbursed for Vitamins?  I was reading what I can get reimbursed for and it does say I can for vitamins if they are to treat a defiency not prevent it.  So for example if I have amnemia than Iron is cover, but if I don't than it is not covered.  It also says I have to have a medical note saying I NEED it!  So, tell me your experience.  Thanks in advance. Health savings has paid for almost anything I have gotten on a prescription including prenatal vitamins.  Each carrier seems to interpret the law slightly differently so you may want to ask. Aside from that, health savings is a wonderful benefit if you can make a rasonalbe guestimation of expenses.  You save on payroll taxes which can be substantial for a family.  We put aside about $3000 a year and consequently don't pay tax on this!

I also have the saving plan it is great.. just make sure you get a note from your doctor ... its a pain but it is well worth the saving....and most doctors will write a note for you no problem. Cate 48
