Hello OH Family,

I have just been told that the grocery store that I get my Carb Countdown milk from will no longer be carrying the product.  This happens to me every year but this is my final store in the area that has it.

Can someone please tell me anywhere in Orange County California they are still able to buy this wonderful low sugar, high protein milk.  This has been a staple in my 3 year journey and I'm panicking. HHEEELLLPPP!!!

Thanks all

Ms J

Hello Darlene,  What city and zip is your WalMart SuperCenter.  We don't have any out here yet.  If it helps to get closer to my location I live about 15 min from Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.  But I'm not adverse to a ROAD TRIP if needed.  Ms J

Hello Going Mobile,  I'm 3 years out and this has been my morning staple for the last 3 years. 1 scoop of Matrix (Vanilla, Choc, Orange Cream) and 8 oz of Carb/Calorie Countdown. Its never made me dump or get naseus ever?  1 cup consist of 90 cal 3 gms of carb with 8 grams of protein.  I buy the 2% the cost is 3.89 when compared to regular milk seems high but check the labels. If they have it let me know.  San Dimas is pretty close to me off the 57/60 fwys. Ms J

Hi Ms. J,

I have used this product since I had surgery in 2006. Have you asked your store if they can order you a case(6-1/2 gallons)? I had difficulty being able to purchase Calorie Countdown on a regular basis but SaveMart finally keeps it in stock and it is only $3.59. Super Wal-Mart only charges $2.98 but it isn't worth the drive for me. (This was in Oklahoma last Summer. Dinuba is closer but with gas prices yada yada yada)

On a side note, Hood who produces this product, recently acquired Crystal Milk and Ice Cream Products in Sacramento. Then they sold part of the company to Foster Farms in Modesto. This may be the reason your store is no longer going to carry Calorie Countdown. If you haven't spoken with the Dairy or Store Manager at the store you normally shop at, I would make a point to do so. Let them know that you would be willing to buy it by the case and how often. The pull date is very long compared to regular milk so it shouldn't spoil before you consume it all.

Here is a petition you can print, sign, and take to your store:      http://www.hphood.com/promos/caloriecountdown/includes/CCPet ition.pdf

Hope this helps,

Susan
