Abdominal pain question...

Hi everyone.  It has been a long time since I have been here.  I am here hoping someone might have some insight as to what is going on.   For the last week or so, I have had a pain around my belly button.  At first, it kind of felt like something was stuck.  It would eventually go away.  Now, the pain seems to be there all the time.  It seems to hurt more when I eat or drink something.  Tonight, my stomach seems to be really bloated.  It is tender to the touch or when you press on it.   I was thinking it might be an ulcer, but I have been also reading about twisted bowel syndrome which has me concerned.  I have an appt. on 7/14 with WLS but did not mention the pain I have been having.  I am thinking I should call back and see what they say about the pain.   It is not excruciatingly painful but don't want it to get that way either.  Any insight on this would be extremely appreciated.   Thanks.  :)

I would definitely call tomorrow and let them know! You really don't want to fool around with pain like that! It could be a bowel or intestinal issue and that really isn't something to put off. It could maybe be a hernia too!  I am not a doctor so I don't know what it is, but don't wait till it is out of control, call about it now!    I can send prayers and hugs and hopes that it gets better soon and isn't anything too serious!!!   let us know please!!!       biggest hugs, Becky

SHERRY STRANGER WELL I REALLY WANTED TO SAY HI, AS I AM NO GOOD AT THIS STUFF. BUT MY DAUGHTER IS SUFFERING WITH KIDNEY STONES, I'M WONDERING IF IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT. I COULD BE WAY OUT IN LEFT FIELD BUT IT COULDN'T HURT TO ASK. AT FIRST SHE HAS NONE OF THE SYPTOMS AND THEN IT STARTED THEY IT WENT AWAY AND NOW AFTER ABOUT 3 WEEKS THE PAIN IS BACK. SHE WENT AND HAD A CAT SCAN WE WILL FIND OUT THIS WEEK. FUNNY HOW YOU CAN HAVE SOMETHING WITH NONE OF THE SIGNS.   GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND MAKE SURE YOU LET US KNOW WHAT IT ENDS UP BEING. I AM VERY CONCEREND FOR YOU. TAKE CARE AND STAY CALM. MUCH LOVE TO YOU MY FRIEND.

Hi Sherri, I have this on and off as well and was told I had a hernia and that my intestines were "coiled" is the word he used. My Dr. said a lot of times it will "uncoil" itself but if the pain worsens or becomes more frequent he would have to go in there and fix it. It has gotten better since the last episode which took me straight to the ER for pain. I would definately call your Doc.

Sending you hugs and please keep us posted. ~Jaime
