This Is SOO Happening SOON!!

I've been crazy busy getting all my paperwork ready. I had my Psych & NUT consults last week.  (Both recommended me for surgery!)  (Does that prove even crazy people can get approved?) I'm getting a loan today.  (co-signed by my parents!)  & have the stupid sleep study in 2 weeks. (I'm fighting having to do it.  Dr. Husted wants me to do it because of the way I answered some questions on his questionaire.  I think it's because of my back meds, but he wants to be sure I don't have the kind of sleep apnea that isn't resolved with WLS.)  Dr. Husted's office has been so nice & helpful I've decided to go to him.  (I faxed my paper work to his office & Rabkin's the same day & have yet to hear from Rabkin's.)  I just faxed my letter from my PCP to Husted's office this am.  The coordinator, Lori, said she loves my enthusiasm & how helpful I am & wishes she could schedule my surgery for yesterday! (Me too!) Anyway, now we're just waiting for the Dr. to get the written letters from the Psych & NUT, then it will be submitted to my INS.  It should be this week!!!  I'm so excited.   What's even more wonderful is the support I've been recieveing from EVERYONE.  My family, friends & co-workers.  I told my boss (My boss is my PCP.) today, when I needed him to sign the papers "he" wrote & he thought it was wonderful & said he wished he could do it for me!  How sweet!  (He doesn't charge us for any services we get here.)  I told him I'd be his guinea pig!  (He's an OB/GYN.  I was kidding, obviously.) So, he was asking me details about the surgery & when I told him the surgeon uses plastic staples & glue to close the incisions, he said the Dr. should just put the glue over my mouth!  It would be much less invasive.  (If I didn't know he was the biggest smart ass ever, I'd have been offended.)  I brilliantly came back with: Yeah, we already tried Duct Tape, but as soon as moisture hits it when I try to talk, that stuff comes right off!  We have the best smart-ass relationship. So now it's just a matter of all the paperwork ending up at Dr. Husted's office & then they will apply for approval from my insurance.  Once that is done, & I'm approved I can get a date!! I hope it happens SOON!

Congrats - before you know you'll be waking up in recover wondering if your surgery really happened! Then you'll be replacing all of your clothes so that they don't fall off when you wear them... This is TRUE!!! LOL Hold on tight! This is one hell of a ride! C h e e r s, gene

Congratulations Sarah on getting things rolling so good! Soon you are going to be a LOSER! And isn't it the best work for someone you can actually have a good relationship with? I use to work years ago for an orthopod where I had that same kind of working relationship with....I was just one of his smoking cigar buddies and he would close the office and take me to the baseball games....had front row home plate season tickets....wow are those days gone!

I am right along side ya...we are in the same spot pretty much as far as our preop stuff. YAHHOO
