wow... are they repairing the ulcer(s)?? I'm glad they are getting this under control...wow!
thank the Lord...
Lori
I'm pretty sure that the cauterization (sp?) that they did with the scope is what their "fix" for the ulcers is. I dno't think they have plans to do anything else. She doesn't have any further instructions yet for when she goes home though, but I know she'll be on some kind of medicine. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

How scary!! I'm glad it is something fixable and they found it in time!
Thanks for the reminder of what NOT to do. I am being told to either take aspirin or Plavix for life and I'm fighting for the Plavix so I don't have to take the chance on ulcers. Scary stuff!!
Still keeping you all in my prayers! biggest hugs, Becky
Surgery was RNY 5/21/07...I can be found on Facebook: anewbecboo or Becky Reddick
Donna, so sorry to hear about yor Mom. How frightening for you all. I had WLS last week, and before hospital discharge they told me not to take ibuprofen, as it causes ulcers. I can't believe they were so neglegent not to tell your mom that, especially knowing she had the other condition she was dealing with. Fern
