update on my mom
First off, thank you for all your replies and most of all for your thoughts and prayers. Yesterday afternoon they finally got a doc in to scope my mom and they found a few ulcers, one of which was on the surgery site where the esophagus meets the pouch. Apparantly right on a vein or artery is my guess. Some of the clots she'd been throwing up were hot dog sized, and she and my dad both really thought she might not make it. (I got the gist from my dad, obviously, my freak out.) They've given her at least 4 units of blood so far and are watching for more bleeding. She'll be in the hospital for another day or so, but hopefully what they did fixed the problem SO, the moral to the story is... don't take ibuprofen if you're a WLS patient! She'd been taking it for 6 weeks for TMJ, and the doctor is pretty sure thats what caused this. UGH! I'm still freaked out, but not like yesterday. Thank you again for all your prayers and thoughts again. Hopefully this is the end of this story!

Thank you. I agree, especially for us old timers. I definitely need to look up and see what else I shouldn't be doing! I don't think I'm doing anything wrong (ok, except for my food choices, but thats another issue...lol), but still, its a lot of information from a long time ago, and I'll need to keep up on it more.
