newbie looking for Experienced VSG surgeon in So Cal

Hi All, This is like my second post after lurking around this board for a year and doing research.  I have to thank all for the postings of info, and incouragement.   In awe of the group. Does anyone know of a Sleeve Gast surgeon in So. Cal that has performed more than 100 sleeves?     (they say that's what it take to be proficient) If I travel, then I would just go ahead and go to Dr C in SF.  Would prefer to have one close to home though.  I am in OC. You might want to check out Dr. Peter Crookes at USC.  He's been doing the Duodenal Switch (DS) for years and the first part of the DS is the sleeve.  He is proficient in RNY, DS, and VSG.

Not sure about So Cal, but if you go over the VSG forum here on OH and ask.  I know tons of us have gone to Mexico Dr. Alvarez.  Also if you check out www.vsgfac.com/forums someone compiled a list of doctors.  Good luck to you. Ms Shell
