Hi,  Had my RNY June 3, got home today and vicodin is controling any pain I have, it is really not too bad! I voiced my concern to the anastesiologist about them cutting on me before I was asleep as this happened to my friend for her C-section and since I had not had surgery before this concerned me. Anyway we talked about it and he assured me this would not happen. I was very pleased at how he put me out. I was watching all the people in the OR getting stuff ready, including me, and I hear a voice say "I am going to give you something to help you relax", then I woke up in recovery! I was really thinking I would just be more relaxed watching everyone work but boy, was I out !!, not a bad experience at all, I would not be afraid to do it again now. No nausea either. I do need to learn to take small sips, not regular drinks of water. Big sips hurt !  Time for a shower and bed, looking forward to my own bed tonight !!! Thanks to all of you who post here, you are so helpfull and I appreciate it.  Kim B

Welcome to the LOSER's bench! I'm glad your surgery went well! I will pray for a smooth and speedy recovery too!  I'm very excited for you to be starting this wild ride called WLS!!!    Sipping is hard in the beginning, but you will get use to it! Take it easy, but walk, walk, walk!!       May God bless your journey!!  hugs, Becky

Congrats  I hope you have a speedy recovery.  I am hoping to be scheduled for surgery the end of this month or the first part of July.  Thanks for sharing your experience.  It really helps people like me that are still waiting for surgery.  Get the rest you need and good luck to you. Linda

Thank you to all the well wishers, you all are so great. I feel pretty good, getting my water down ok today, yesterday all I could really handle without hurting was hot tea, so I drank alot of that for my water. Today, water is going down with no issues again, strange. Does this happen alot where one day your pouch just says , "no, not today" to something, then tomorrow it is perfectly fine? It is so strange not being hungry any more and having to think, "I need to eat something now". I like it but it is really different! Kim B
